Rather Bouyea than Garrett 2-way but I'm OK with Garrett. His defense is tenacious.

Edit: What about Bouyea? I liked him.
No... Mulder sounds like he's on an NBA contract which may be an interesting move.

Yeah, he's a risk because of his offense, but if he can continue to work on his shot (he had wrist surgery this year) he could become a nice defensive role-player for this team in the future. He has a possible high-level skill that Miami may need down the road.

Proud of Cain lol. Balled out for 2 preseason games and earned himself an NBA contract. Happy for him regardless if he sticks long term.

Figure Days was gonna get cut. Dude looked badly out of shape, wasn't ready for the NBA.AirP. wrote:Ah, here we go with why and some info on Days. So, Miami signed Mulder to an NBA contract?

I’m actually shocked on Days, I thought we found the next Young PJ lol. Got him from the Spurs, the signs were good. He’ll be with our gleague team though, he might just be a year or 2 away from being a year or 2 away
Cain deserved the contract, Bam loves him so you knew it was coming after what Bam was saying after the Grizzlies game.
Mulder coming back is a head scratcher; maybe something is in the works elsewhere and he’s insurance.
Give Bouyea the 2nd two way.

The Days move was logical. It was clear Cain beat him out and impressed, we had to secure him.
Mulder is interesting. He’s been around the Heat off and on over the years. Perhaps it’s just about institutional knowledge and helping the young bucks in Sioux Falls, with the added benefit of possibly being called up if we need shooting backup.

It's really interesting because this puts Miami at 15 players on the active roster and they've been going with 14 man rosters for most of the last few seasons, it feels like a move to prepare for something else and bringing someone in that has been working with the organization already.
Bulter, Bam, Herro, Lowry, Robinson, Martin, Deadmon, Jovic, Vincent, Strus, UD, Highsmith, Yurtseven, Oladipo and now Martin.

Mulder’s deal is an exhibit 10. It’s still only 14 active.

I've not seen anything that said that, I did see that they mentioned Days signed a 10 day but didn't mention Mulder did, I don't get why they'd mention it for Days but not Mulder. I'd just like to see some verification since it seems odd to mention it for 1 person but not the other, it makes sense to sign him for a 10 day to rest players in pre-season.

Re: Offseason thread vol 9 - RUN IT BYK
"In addition to the usual 15-man rosters, NBA teams are permitted to carry two players on two-way contracts. Two-way deals essentially give clubs the NBA rights to two extra players, though they often spend much of the season in the G League rather than with the NBA team. While two-way players don’t count toward the 15-man regular season roster limit, they do count toward the 20-man offseason limit."

1. Cain earned it. i wish he was a bit bigger, but still might become useful.
2. Garrett is the right choice from the training camp guards. the others are currently more well rounded then him, but hes the one with the upside, only one with an elite skill - defense.
just wish he get locked up in the gym taking 5000 3's a day. he has to become a decent shooter.

I’m glad Dipo is playing tonight, hopefully we have the full team for these last 2 games and get a feel for the rotation

not happy we let go of a hard nose grinder that can hit the 3 in Days when we have fringe scrubs on the roster collecting checks. Hopefully we can find a way to reunite sooner than later.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
