Beasley, Bogey, and Clarkson. Conley will either be bought out by the deadline or traded, same with Gay.
Ingles is cooked.

We want Conley to go but looks like he may be hard to trade and he equates to wins. The Beasley & Bogey will contribute to wins and will be able to be moved, Clarkson too inefficient perhaps? He equates to losses so we can keep him!

I expect Bojan, Clarkson and Conley to be gone. The Lakers seem like the ideal partner since they have need of all 3 players and they get to move on from Westbrook, and the Jazz need to unload more players then they take back due to the roster being overpopulated currently. Don't know if all players will be traded to the Lakers but giving them useful players while allowing them to unload Westbrook should cost them both of their picks, which they currently don't want to give. If not, there are other suitors for all three players.

I voted Bogey, Beasley, Clarkson and Vanderbilt for trades. JV is a bit of a dark horse but if I were the Lakers and the Jazz were going to squeeze a first out of me, I would want a guy to fill in some minutes if/when LeBron & AD miss games.

I also voted Rudy Gay because I would hope the Jazz just buy him out. Offer him 8.5 million to go, he can sign a league minimum deal wherever he wants for $2.9 million and that makes him 90% whole on what's left of his deal plus whatever he could get in 23-24.

Agreed on Gay being a buyout candidate. His contract isn't great with $ owed next season but he can probably get a vet min deal from some contender. Teams like Miami and Boston (after the Gallo injury) come to mind.

This has become more cut throat with Butler, Johnson Lee etc

Lee and Johnson are likely cuts, along with Zeller, imo. However, I think Dok could also be on the bubble given that he hasn't been cleared for 5-on-5 activity, and he may or may not be the type of player Will Hardy envisions at the 5. It wouldn't shock me to see the Jazz waive Dok and keep Johnson.

I'm sure the Jazz would like to unload Rudy Gay one way or another. I'd be disappointed to see the Jazz waive a player like Butler in order to keep 36 y.o. Gay on the roster. Both Butler and Dok should be given this season to see if they can develop their games.

Outsider here, not a member of your board, throwing in an opinion. By the way, Danny Ainge deserves Executive of the Year for the Gobert, Mitchell and Bogdanovic trades, even if he does nothing else until June.

Tough to rank some players factoring in offense AND DEFENSE & POTENTIAL. Some of your guys may get played at other than their best position due to the roster crunch of too many hands on deck.

Keepers
1. Walker Kessler - looks like a great 2-way Center for a # 22 pick

2. Lauri Markkanen - Very Good 2 way player, who shines as a stretch PF but noticeably less effective when played at SF

3. Ochai Agbaji - looks like a really good 2-way WING for a #14 pick

4. Mike Conley - solid PG, excellent shooter, calm leader who typically outplays his matchup despite a true height of 5' 11"

5. Collin Sexton - spark plug who is better suited to defend PGs than SGs since his true height is 6' 0.25". Not a great fit alongside Conley from a size perspective. Might be better to rotate them both as Point Guards.

6. Jordan Clarkson - very good at either guard spot. Versatile on offense and defense.

7. Kelly Olynyk - veteran center who is multi-faceted and can play PF as well

8. Jared Vanderbilt - a good backup PF who can defend SFs although not suited offensively for SF

9. Simone Fontecchio - European Shooter who should see time at SF

??
10. Malik Beasley - $15.5M SG whose shot has to fall to justify being on floor. Seems like a lot of money for what he gives. Possible buyout candidate around March 1 if still on roster.

11. Rudy Gay - 36 year old FORWARD making $6.1M w/player option for next season. Said he'd prefer to be on a playoff team. Can play either forward spot, but since Utah is now developing youth the team will probably seek out a trade partner.

12. Nickeil Alexander-Walker - For $5M does not have much impact. Seems to play better at SF than guard. Another possible buyout candidate if still on roster in February assuming the Jazz DO NOT exercise their 4th year option by start of season.

13/14 - tough to choose between the often injured Udoka Azubuike and unguaranteed salary of 2013 #4 pick Cody Zeller. One of these two could get traded or released if the Jazz don't want to carry 4 centers. Heck, the Jazz could even let both of them go if they don't like the longterm durability outlook for Azubuike.

15. Talen Horten-Tucker will probably be kept around because of his 2024 $11,020,000 player option. Ball dominant player without a shot who likes to drive. A bull inside, but with a true height of 6' 2.5" he's a bit small for SF and a bit slow for SG despite a wing span of 7' 1".

Guys I'd cut loose

16. Stanley Johnson - tough energy guy with limited offensive skills and a true height of 6' 5" makes him a bit small for PF but not skilled enough for SF. Could make final roster if team values his defense and Jazz don't want to carry 4 centers.

17. Saben Lee - one of only three natural PGs on Team. Since Detroit sent the Jazz $1.8 Million cash to cover Lee's 2023 salary, Utah may have planned to waive Lee at the time of the trade, although Lee's contract was necessary for the Bogdanovic trade to go thru, which saved the Jazz $7.3 Million in 2023 salary (Olynyk vs. Bogdanovic).

18. Jared Butler - just not good enough to be kept around with the roster limitations. He can squeak in if the Jazz decide to cut the unguaranteed salary of Cody Zeller AND decide that Azubuike's health status is such that he may not be RELIABLE for extended action this season or even next season.

19. Leandro Bolmaro - has not shot well when on floor during his previous 2 years in the NBA

Might be nitpicking, but he’s only been in the league a single season.

Good catch. Bolmaro is a 22 year old Argentine 2020 #23 pick who waited a year before coming to the NBA (paid his buyout clause with FC Barcelona).

It was expected, due to the Pistons basically covering his salary as part of the trade for Bojan, but he did look good in the scrimmage, for whatever it's worth.

Butler played enough minutes tonight and played well enough that I think he makes the roster.

The Jazz could actually use a paint defender like Dok, but the question is when he'll ever be cleared to play. I have to assume he's on the bubble.

Zeller should be gone, since he doesn't have a contract for this season.

I wonder if the Jazz can pull off a last-minute trade and move somebody.

Rumors are floating of a possible Crowder and pick for Clarkson trade (would have to involve additional players I think). Crowder would be bought out, presumably to sign with the Heat. Good for both teams, IMO.

We can keep Clarkson, he doesnt equate to more wins, Conley does. Conley should play v top tier teams and be rested v weak teams that way we lose them all!
