It's a much better plan then the summer of 2021 plan and maybe Butler can sell him on Miami.

Yet he has a very useful skill with his defense that could be useful in spots in the playoffs, the other non contract guys may not ever see the floor in a high-level game. I could care less if he's the 16th best player or 13th best player this year for the Heat, it's about developing players that can help you down the road, hopefully after some big trade in the next few years.

Gabe’s better on both ends, give me Bouyeas far more advanced scoring and possibly from the PG as well. He’s been a good defender also. There’s just no place for Garrett here imo

He's got a chance to be a high-level defender. Bouyeas may never see meaningful minutes on the court and so what about Gabe, he may not be in Miami after this year, he's in the group of Strus, Gabe, Yurtseven and possibly Oladipo who will be free agents this next summer while Miami is currently over the tax for NEXT YEAR, so whatever they cost Miami, toss in the tax cost too. You have to have cheaper players in the pipeline even if they're just role-players. I don't expect Garrett to ever be a regular starter for a good team, but for a few minutes stretch, I could see him being utilized to harass a scorer.

Smith and or bouyu are Gabe replacements.Cain is a Caleb replacement when the time comes Miami will contineu to field good cheap talent around their top dollar guys.

This is the second year we invested in Garrett and he unfortunately got hurt.

Last year we cut him from the 2 way. We will see if that’s the result this year.

I felt like this year he didnt stand out with his defense like he did last year. He was outproduced by every other guard and wing on offense. His one an only elite skill didnt even shine this year.

I think he will be ultimately be cut from the deal. Which I understand, but kind of feel bad about to be honest.

Im sure he came back this year after getting cut last year (when he got hurt) with the understanding he gets a fair shake this year. And then he gets hurt/potentially cut again.

Good read and intel on the Herro negotiations here by Barry.

And for those of you who thought Herro was just shopped around all summer? You were dead wrong.

Only those not paying attention will wonder “where did he come from?”

Yurt was excellent last season when called upon. Has always had a stroke, we just kept the game simple for him by being a lob threat and roll man in his rookie year.

I expect he’ll be very important for us this year.

My guess on numbers? 12 and 8 on 24mpg.
