I think Chet should have gone like 3rd tbh. I trust the OKC doctors and other medical professionals saying his frame and injury is not a concern. Not having your rookie play for a year is nothing compared to his upside vs some other prospects (who are still very good, make no mistake). Amazing to get a prospect like that at #5.

Obviously everything can change, and hey, there's a better version of Chet in next year's draft anyway. And that seems to be the real prize for the teams picking in the top tier this year. This year is just the set up to get a complimentary player for Wemby.

edit:nvm, I went back and rewatched some vids about his lisfranc injury. Definitely some long term concerns. There isn't any injury concerns related to his frame, but rather now long term with him being a tall man and having a lisfranc injury. I guess 5 is about right actually.

After having KD, Hayward, Zion, and Wiseman all miss significant time, I did not want to deal with that again.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I would have taken Chet.

I'll take Jaden Ivey and bet on the upside. Was a little tempted to go with a vet because my team can contend this year.

I guess I’ll take the first vet even though I don’t love it…

It's the right pick at this point. Hell I considered him instead of Ivey. He'll be a much better fantasy player this year and likely for the next couple years. Harris is only 30 so it's not like you can't have him for a few years.

At this point the young guys are a dart throw.

I traded Harris like 4 years ago for Boogie Cousins (didn’t work out) so this is full circle lol.

But yeah, young guys after the top 5 are a risk. Especially with only 7-8 keepers…it’s tough.

I got insanely lucky grabbing Haliburton when I did 2 years ago. :D

If this is for real he is a massive threat. One of the biggest reasons I kept Okongwu was that his FT% was around 70% and for shotblocker thats usually pretty good. So if Poeltl is around that area he'll be a big asset.

I was joking but it's my hope. I desperately need blocks. I had originally offered my 2nd to Slim for Vuvevic before deciding to edit my PM and switching to 3rd (but willing to come down in a barter for 2nd) but he took first good offer...I had higher pick than Qwiggz too.

Though he wouldn't have helped much in blocks.

The good thing is my FT% is pretty strong and he doesn't go to the line much (yet) so hopefully my FT% can hold up.
