Especially early in the season, opposing teams are going to know that Draymond's conduct will be under a microscope. An extra hold here, an extra shove there. Draymond so much as farts in retaliation and he's likely to get T'ed up.

That was my point on another thread. How will the league handle this? It's a REALLY bad look for the NBA that DG got away with this with NO repercussions from the team at all. Will the refs give him the benefit of the doubt this year? Next year? My guess is no. Was that jabbering worth a second tech? A: Yes. Was that a flagrant 1 or 2? A: 2. etc., etc.

I think about the Ray Rice video. Yes -- he clocked a woman, which is a whole other level of douchebag, but Rice never played a single down in the NFL again. And he was a star. I don't think that we've all seen the last of this.

Poole held all the cards.

If this was enough for poole to move on.
If this was enough for the players to try and move on.

I'm fine with this. How anyone outside that lockerroom feels doesnt matter.

If poole wanted dray suspended, I think he would have.

OK, the decision has been made. I think we're all ready to move on. Personally, I couldn't disagree more with that decision. Kerr said Draymond deserved the benefit of the doubt, yet I would argue he's the last person on the team that deserves that benefit. He has a history. Nonetheless, the season is now on the horizon and we're hoping Draymond is motivated and on his best behavior. We'll see.

I predicted in another thread (before the incident even happened) that this year Draymond would be very disruptive, unhappy. He's likely to see Poole get a large payday in the next few days. It's already been reported that he thinks this might be his last year and if that's the case he'd like to go to the Lakers. Yes, that report came from Steph A. and so it should be taken with a grain of salt. But it's undeniable that Draymond has, uh, (trying to say this nicely) fallen in love with Lebron.

So, while we hope and assume Draymond will be on his best behavior, well, I'm just not so sure that's going to happen, especially if his play declines even more. What could that mean? Maybe not another punch, but ejections, lack of effort, poor attitude, and perhaps even a moment of out-of-control behavior on the court. To me, it's the only thing that can derail this team from winning it all again.

Be your best, Draymond. And please, don't cost us another championship.

Lol, Draymond sits out two preseason games and is now back with no official suspension. So yet again... FO as soft as warm butter.

Stay tuned for further upcoming bs.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be: "Jordan Poole attacks Draymond Green with a double palm strike to the chest and Green retaliates with a punch to the face?"

Both parties were wrong for their above-referenced actions.

Deservedly, Draymond Green is being criticized for his actions; yet, why is no one scrutinizing Poole's actions and behavior?

Kerr took a beating from MJ (in retaliation for a hard foul in practice) during their playing days and went on to win a championship that very same season. In a similar manner, Warrior fans should not be surprised this season when the Warriors, with both Draymond Green and Jordan Poole contributing big-time minutes, win another championship this very season.

You understand why Draymond doesn't know what accountability means.

Poole held the cards, but it shouldn’t be up to him to decide on a suspension. He probably feels like he’s letting his other teammates down if Draymond isn’t playing.

The Ringer's Logan Murdoch and former NBA player Raja Bell do a really good job deconstructing the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole encounter:

The good guys win 8-)

Big maturity moment from Poole, I would have really hated him if he forced the team to get rid of Draymond lol

Got a week of fun on the trade machine, kids looking good in preseason, and now we are back on track for title number 5 with Dray having a lot to prove in a contract year. Lets go!

If there's any good news at all from last night, it's that, if DG gets tossed from one or more games, it looks like the Dubs just might be just fine without him. 2nd team looked great.

BTW, let's not forget that the Clippers, Nuggets, Grizzlies, Lakers, and others will, at least starting the season, be healthy this year. Chip 5 will not be anything close to as easy as last year, no matter what.

Poole took the high road, and I applaud him for that.

Also, nobody knows what happened after, in the locker room... Poole could even have done something wildly inappropriate and borderline against the terms of service as a punishment and not a single person here could have guessed... and rightfully so, as it's an internal matter.

Point taken, but clean it up, cap'n

I personally would have suspended him even if he missed ring night. Sorry, that's his punishment.

With that said, Myers and Kerr did say they didn't see suspending Draymond even before the video leak. And that ended up being true aside from the pre season games. This leads me to believe that there was more going on behind the scenes than we'll ever know. It's just info we're not privy to and I'm cool with it. I just don't care anymore. Time to enjoy some basketball and try to get more rings.

wrong, Poole held 0 of the cards. there was nothing Poole can do other than 'move on' because if he says he wants Dray punished or anything of the sort he would've seemed like a bitch.

the onus was on Myers/Kerr to actually levy a real punishment here, but they cucked out per usual. not even ONE game? just ridiculous.

Well said. There's nothing left for the vultures to feed on. The real meat of this story has long since been picked clean.

Glad Kerr and Myers are putting the good of the team over trying to impress the moralizers online or in the media
