Looking at Ish's preseason alone, looks like we won that trade with WAS

Seems that two 34yo veterans DeAndre Jordan and Ish Smith are both motivated to play seriously this season. When they come this summer I really don't know what to think about their potential roles.

I'm with you there, thought both were done, but we're seeing something different. Both seem to be good locker room guys as well.

I saw that Bones may have tweaked an ankle. Not sure how serious but he looked very good in the Phoenix game.

Still needs to work on his PG skills, but for a 2nd year player looked like he could be a nice starter in this league

Yeah, honestly Ish and DeAndre have been surprisingly good fits thus far. In an odd way, I feel like Ish can give us some of what we lost in Barton, without the things that somewhat made most fans mad, being overplayed and being so ISO-focused. Ish can generate his own offense and can catch fire on occasion but doesn't need the playing time. I think he is going to be a valuable addition.

Next to last preseason game against the Clippers, should be a good test. No Joker or Murray again but KCP and AG50 are back in the lineup. More experience for some of the younger guys, gotta help down the road

This bench is looking like a strength to me. Ish is making a case to be a part of the rotation, Zeke showing an all-around game even Braun improving his scoring. MPJ has a rebound game with his running mate AG50 back.

Nikola played sparingly but had 7asts. Another win for the bench against yet another playoff contender, Malone doesn't look to have any excuses as he has a lot of weapons, going to be a fun season if we can get Jokic and Murray back on the court.

There is a definite impression being expressed on multiple forums that Booth hit on his offseason trades and free agency. The acquisition of Ish Smith, Jordan, Bruce Brown looks important based on the play this preseason. Also, KCP looks very much like an NBA 3 and D starting guard.

I'm happiest during the preseason with what I see from MPJ and Hyland, positively surprised about Ish Smith and Jordan, and not happy about Murray's condition and KCP offense.
