I'm even more excited about this upcoming season than I was in 2003-2004. It wouldn't surprise me if we won it all.

I could use more ALL CAPS or spam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Pretty hard to get more pumped about watching the best starting 5 in the league kick the crap out of the other NBA teams and the critics who doubted them. BIG BALL IS BACK BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

These predictions assume lots of things… specifically a healthy roster, ANT playing like an all-star, DLo plays with grit, McD steps up, and the Gob/Kat chemistry clicks.

It’s a world of the willing & able… in basketball it’s simple… ya have to be willing to prepare and able to play winning basketball.

I’m concerned on the loss of Beverly and I’m concerned with DL’s grit. I’m still in the 50-52 wins, these two issues remain in the back of my mind.

We don't need to worry about the loss of Beverley since we added Kermit Wilts in the offseason.

I am not sure we will see this, but I am going to go ahead and optimistically call it. At some point Rudy will have a 20/20 night. He has had 7 in his career, and I get the feeling he will get to 8 this season.

KAT made 150 3s last year, his career-best. I'm predicting he'll make more than 250 this season.

I think we sorta know what we're going to get with Rudy, KAT and Dlo. We know their warts and their strengths. The biggest key for extrapolating their production is relative health.

On the other hand, projections for young players is inherently difficult. Ant, Jaden and Jaylen are going to be the difference between us having another play in appearance or vaulting us to a truly fantastic season.

If Ant takes the kind of leap many here and around the league expect we will be half way to a remarkable season. Ant is already a really good player. What I'd like to see Ant do is incrementally improve his playmaking and efficiency, tighten up those handles a bit and focus on being the point of attack defender he showed against Ja in the post season.

Jaden's offense this season is something that I'll be watching. Just hitting his threes at league average would be phenomenal. We know he's a really good defender, but if he takes his offense up a notch we'll be three quarters of the way there.

Jaylen is a bucket! His defense thus far has not been good. He may look better defensively with the addition of Rudy, but upping his point of attack defense would be amazing and complete the one hundred percent remarkable season.

Ant is going to take that leap. Jaden is going to hit his threes. Jaylen is going to look better on defense.

I agree with most of this … but … I do not think players like Nowell can count on Gobert to cover their weakness and think it’s ok. That’s not winning basketball IMO as we saw in Utah. Nowell simply has to get better defensively or he’s a weak link. No different for DLo or ANT. I agree McD can be a real difference maker…

Jaylen will defend or Finch will look elsewhere to fill those Beasley/Bev minutes.

I just placed two bets on the Wolves

NW division champ and Covering the spread of 10.5 for the opener against the Thunder.

That's a lot of 3s. If he doesn't miss games maybe.

The only thing that makes me wonder is the sheer size of the Minnesota Skyline. I mean KAT and MCD will be feasting on the glass because they will often have big size advantages. Rudy getting 20 points is a non brainer, but also finding 20 boards with this tall and long a lineup is tricky. Gonna be so much fun to watch us have size advantages all season :) :) :)

In his most-injured healthy season, he played 74 games (last year). He also has averaged 3.3 made 3s a game in a season, in the crazy 2019-20 season. Extrapolate those numbers out and you get 244 3-pointers. Not that much of a stretch, actually.

Normally I pump the breaks on a lot of expectations and predictions. This season, I think we are being really slept on, I don/t see a lot of media ging us much credit at all; I think we will be a force. Top 5 team in the west, possibly top 3 much of the season.

Check out last season's games vs MEM, we seem to be matching really good with them, I predict we sweep them in the regular season

The Timberwolves will need some time to figure out how Towns and Gobert work together, according to John Hollinger of The Athletic, who suspects it will take another year for the best version of this team to show up. Hollinger expects the Wolves to take a small step forward in 2022/23, projecting 47 wins and a seventh-place finish in the West.

I agree it will be an adjustment, but I think it will be more of an adjustment for other teams. I can’t imagine that during the regular season, they are going to devote a lot of time to practice how to overcome outlier MIN. I expect we’re going to see some streaky basketball in some games from both teams this year, but MIN will win at least 50.
