Based on overall performance, the ones who look like they could easily be replaced with Prime 80s Jazz-era Adrian Dantley are Chris Morris (Nets), Winston Bennett (Cavaliers), Rodney McCray (Mavericks), Buck Johnson (Rockets), Loy Vaught (Clippers), Tim Perry (Suns) and Lionel Simmons (Kings).
Which one of those most replaceable starting small forwards would you bench in favor of an upgrade in the form of Prime 80s Jazz-era Dantley?
And which starting core would Prime 80s Jazz-era Adrian Dantley fit better with? Assuming you put him on either the Nets, Cavs, Mavs, Rockets, Clippers, Suns or Kings.

San antonio would be interesting as dantley could raise their offense with his scoring and robinson would get to pick his spots instead of being asked to carry the spurs isolation after isolation

Some of those starting lineups are incorrect, Miami's sticks out as Steve Smith started in the backcourt.
Prime Dantley back in Utah would be huge. He'd give them much needed scoring and they probably beat Portland in the WCF and push Chicago in the final.

As others have noted, some curious positional designations (Brickowski at 3, Woolridge at 4, Catledge at 3 [in part, I imagine, caused by massive starter instability and just picking the top 5 total starters], Vaught at 3 ...)
Think this is the wrong year to pin Lionel Simmons as a weakness. My quick mental aggregation of the Reference box composites would probably be to say they have him as the Kings' best player.
Cavs and Suns are very good and need an upgrade at the SF but Dantley isn't a great fit (though maybe he helps with playoff resilience).
Denver have a defensive anchor and are most in need of offensive punch (running a lot of offense through Mutombo post ups), though where Dantley gets them overall is unclear.
He could play the Campbell role (and I'd say Campbell was the three) much better for Minnesota. Ditto for Catledge (though Magic are better, have better swingmen/wings).
If he's in for Vaught (a bad defending PF, but they have two tall combo forwards though Smith misses a lot of the season) then that's an upgrade for a slightly above average team with weak O.
Elliott isn't bad (if overrated) but Dantley might give the Spurs a chance to stay alive through to Robinson's estimated return (circa middle of the second round). Probably not a good chance though. New York too is another tough D with a middle of the pack O, where Dantley might help?

Same with the knicks. I don't think that Ewing would mind taking a backseat to Dantley. Probably the Jazz that year also.
