Musgrove has been pretty untouchable. I'd be asking for **** to be checked too

Haven't watched any of the playoffs but I'm not upset at the results so far.

Go Cleveland, Seattle, Atlanta, SD

I'm salty and want SD to lose. But of course since baseball is dumb, that means a mega market will win, most likely.

I don't want the stupid Hader narrative to get more shine. I understand not liking the trade but way too much is being made of it, Padres aren't as fun as I thought they'd be after the Tatis stuff. Get them out.

Yes, Cleveland, Seattle are the only other somewhat desirable options.

You have 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 payrolls still in it (Mets were 1). Seattle is 21 and Cleveland is 28. It would be great if one of them would win it. Bit it would also have the union and big spenders yelling "see, nothing has to change in MLB economics, a below average payroll team won!".

The Royals in 2015 are the only small market team to win in a long time (Washington was 7th in payroll in 2019). And even the Royals in 2015 were 17th, higher than they normally are. The last truly low spending team to win it all was the Marlins in 2003 (24th).

A baseball thing I've never understood: If a pitcher makes a fielding error that results in runs being scored, why are those runs considered unearned? If the pitcher is responsible for that run scoring, be it through bad pitching or bad fielding, shouldn't they be charged with the run(s)?

Agreed. I also think if a pitcher leaves the game with runners on base and any runners subsequently score those earned runs should be split.

I thought Atlanta were going to win it all again but the Phillies just kicked their arses.

BA is one of my favorite announcers. He’s informative without being condescending, smooth. Great baseball person.

Of course Hader closes it out with ease.

Fox did a great job letting the sound from the players/crowd go there. Didn't speak for well over a minute.
