Ant seems to still have problems with consistency. It's just pre-season so can't judge much but I was/am hoping he gets some more reliable moves this season. He has too many games where he just shoots badly and is kind of dead on offense. Maybe he will go harder in the regular season and attack the paint more.

KAT and Gobert are going to need some time to figure it out.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

I wouldn't even call us treadmill, i'd say we sucked really bad for a long time with a few bright moments & in the last year we went from up and coming into a contender.. Pretty wild turnaround

KAT played 2 preseason games, Rudy played 2 preseason games, they played 1 together. This isn’t a team with a problem. This is a team that needs reps. We are way more talented than our next 7 opponents. That is 11 days plus the 4 days between Friday and Wednesday that we have off to get it figured out. We are so far from in trouble at this point.

This question is for everyone. Assume we start very well and build 20+ point leads going in to the fourth quarter against some of these weak teams. Do you play our starters in the 4th to build chemistry and develop the schemes, or do you play it safe and rest the big names to avoid injury risk and wear down?

We will be playing it safe.

I think safe as don’t want to get too many minutes on starters early, but could see a few games we sprinkle in more extended time for the starters if it’s a blow out. Like if all 7 are we play starters deeper than we should in 2 or 3.

Sorry, I didn't communicate that very well....
It was more the the effect that the issue was, we may be putting too much stock into preseason.
We have had great preseasons and summer leagues only to have a horrible regular seasons. So, F preseason, bring on the regular season and lets go dominate. This is going to fun year.

I finally had the chance to watch the Nets game and it was brutal. Durant is special but we're going to struggle against any team that has an athletic PF. I'm certainly not hitting the panic button yet, but the game left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to playing KAT and Gobert at the same time. As others have stated, they need more reps together badly.

Durant is possibly the most skilled player to ever play the position. Right up there with LeBron and KG. You can't make judgments based on our having trouble defending Durant.
