If this is what Mattise's camp is pushing for, his value around the league must be pretty low at the moment

I think by rookie scale he just means like an extension off of his rookie deal. Not sure what the $ would be. Just seems like they’ll want to let him go into RFA unless they get great value. Extending him also make him more difficult to trade.

Has anyone ever agreed to the vet minimum coming off his rookie deal?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the “why believe in the Sixers if you can’t believe in Harden” question that’s been floating around on a lot of preseason podcasts. My ray of hope is that he clearly made developing a mid range jumper a priority and is trying to incorporate it into his game. If he can become a solid threat from that area, then our post season ceiling rises.

It’s the one whole in his game that I’ve always been critical of. Playoff defense really funnels people to that area and it’s a necessity for a player his size.

If there was a way to make the money work, would you swap Tobias for Draymond?
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Draymond would be perfect to run up the Rocky step for his morning workouts

Yeah but no way GS trades Draymond for Tobias unless serious draft capital is attached. Draymond, for all of his antics, is the perfect fit for them in terms of both a basketball and intangibles standpoint.

Tobias is neither since his quiet demeanor is too much like Steph's and he needs the ball in his hands to be most effective.

Morey said there are 4 things needed for Sixers to have a chance to win championship

Guys 5-11 to be as good as they thought
Harden to be just good Harden, not even 2018 version
Embiid to be as good as he was in last 2 seasons
Maxey taking his game to another level.

The last one (about maxey) was the hardest and Morey thought Maxey has done it during the offseason

I dont like Morey on podcasts, I always find him very good at deflecting and diverting the questions. But Im enjoying this latest podcast of Rights to Ricky where they had him.

Preseason.

1st in Steals
3rd fewest TOs
2nd in FGAs
5th in ORebs
30th in FTA
12th in Rebs

If i’d give this some merit and that Biid didn’t play a lot, I’d say we’d take less FTs, make more mid range and focus on having a large gap in number of possessions than our opponents.

I wouldn't think any other GM would do something different.

Hard to answer a lot of questions and not disrupt a plan or throw someone under the bridge.

Daryl Morey Changed the Game, but He Still Hasn’t Beaten It

I was actually wondering, however, how much more Thybulle will cost than that 4-28 deal POR just gave Nassir Little.

I mean, anything over 5% of the cap is really too much for such a one dimensional player IMO.

We better look a kemba off bench
.. Korkmaz and shake can kick rocks. :banghead:

We need to get fast and more cerebral in pick and role and half court. This guy can play on and off ball.

Harden, Maxey , Melton and add Kemba is over for the league .

Kemba has been washed for 3 years. Inefficient chucker on offense, worst player in the NBA on defense. No thank you.

Its interesting to know how much Thybulle is asking
