It's still early. They will adjust throughout the year. Maybe zones.

If they’re gonna hedge & recover like that I can see a world where Duncan is played at the 4 and they spam him in pick & pop situations. Especially with Herro/Jimmy.
KAT is gonna have nightmares having to recover back to legit shooters, his footwork is just too slow. Then if they decide to switch he on an island and f*cked! Best case is Gobert waiting in the paint to help, but then dunker spot is gonna feast.

I would make Towns work like this on every possession, and he won't have any gas for offense.

Smart, Draymond and Jimmy are expected. What surprises me is Bam being on this list. WTF did he do? Lmao.
Also surprised Herro isn't on it given all the slander he gets by every single fanbase. Heh, he's probably in the top 10.

I’m sure for Bam it’s mostly Heat fans that’ll be eating crow this year when he’s dominant

Re: Offseason thread vol 9 - RUN IT BYK
My outlook on the Heat as we wait for the start of the season. The target is for Bam, Herro and Butler to all average an efficient 20 pts. If that is not happening because one of them is not getting the field goal attempts. Somebody numbers are artificially inflated.
I am going to give them 10 games before my first impression

Meh ww5 got too cute with stashing Darius Days and another team grabbed him. He was exactly the hustle banger with the 3 ball that we needed. We are still good though but we could use a durable body at the position with young energy.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

yeah i was going to do the same but i think that there's not a single reason why the heat shouldnt replicate what they did last seasontwix2500 wrote:My outlook on the Heat as we wait for the start of the season. guys is no joke
I am not totally against this kind of "gritty" play, but there needs to be a balance, like with everything in life
D samples that bam has gotten and has... are not ideal

Re: Offseason thread vol 9 - RUN IT BYK
So I’m really liking the vibes I’m getting from Cain early on, even outside of his great preseason play. Jimmy has taken him under his wing and they’ve been going hard at each other 1 on 1 after practice and while Jimmy wins the media says Cain is holding his own. He’s not backing down either, they’re cussing each other out and yelling at each other and all that.
I’m going to say as if this very moment I view him as a poor man’s Caleb (at THIS moment) but I think we could see him surpass Caleb as early as this season. His ability to defend 1-4 like Caleb and make open 3s will be a key factor.
If he steps up to the plate and becomes a better player that opens up the ability for us to use a mixture of the salaries of Lowry Duncan Dedmon Caleb and/or even Dipo with our 3-4 1st round picks to make a move/moves in case of emergency around the deadline.

I'm surprised Bouyeah hasn't been claimed too. Rockets waived Harkless, who played for us (poorly) two seasons ago. Days was smart to take the Rockets offer and not just for the money. He should get more opportunities there. He played with Tari Eason at LSU.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Gabe is the poor man's Gabe Vincent. He's only on minimum salary.

FYI, this is the same ankle that was giving him troubles after playing overseas for his national team. The team doctors were hoping it got better and were concerned he would need surgery on it to fix it, but it looked like it did for a while, sounds like he re-aggravated it again.

One preseason game of Omer having to run around on the perimeter alongside Bam due to our switch everything scheme and he has a bum ankle.
Yeah boys, it ain't happening. Lol
