After 3,5, 10 games?
AD already missing preseason games he should be playing.
Russ not being engaged with teammates,
2 centers not showing any signs of promise,
shooting has been so erratic. Hield and Turner would probably solve those problems.
This is the part that I think people are
really misunderstanding. If the lakers are looking terrible, it makes it LESS likely they pull off some trade and instead are more likely
to sit tight and try to improve in the summer with their picks and $35 mil in capspace. They aren’t going to sacrifice picks and cap to improve a team that’s
not close to competing.
Wait, so they shouldn't sit tight and pull off a trade if they are NOT TERRIBLE THEN?

What is the whole point of making a trade if the team is not terrible?
Yes, I am REALLY misunderstanding the concept of sitting tight and WASTE the whole season esp with Lebron who will turn 38 in several weeks so they can preserve that 35 cap space.
Who is that MYSTERY SUPERSTAR free agent who will accept that 35 Million (less than maximum) so he can help the 39 year old Lebron and fragile AD win it all next summer? You really think they become contenders going this route next year?
I think you made it clear that the Indiana trade will not make them compete? I disagree. Lakers lost their 3 top 3pt shooters this summer, replacing them with young athletic non shooting guys ( I believe NONE of them shot above 35% from 3 last season).
Buddy addresses that, even though he "struggled" just shooting 36%, his lowest in his career at a challenging situation with Indiana with their lack of direction and system.
AD is already having back issues, Myles who is a great shot blocker addresses that esp with their 2 centers under performing in the preseason. Now will they be instant contenders? No, but I believe this team can compete better.
