Although I like Grant Williams, I agree.

I think Williams can be a piece. Gores has got to be getting antsy. Eventually he’s gonna say to Troy, hey when are we gonna start winning?

I think next off-season has got to be the year right? A lot depends on how this season goes, but it’s looking like a another bottom 5 year. How many seasons of growth can Gores stand.

My guess is Troy goes after the Suns. Booker, Johnson, Ayton, Bridges.

I don't think that's going to happen. I think Garza has the possibility for a decent journeyman career in the NBA vs others here who said he absolutely does not have a place in the NBA, but I don't think HOFer is anywhere in his future.

If he’s a fringe 12th man/ G-leaguer, he might be better off taking his talents overseas. My friend Manny Harris who was at UofM and Mr. Basketball for Michigan has had a very lucrative career overseas dominating the competition.

We are as likely to use our cap space for trades as for free agents, so therefore the list of potential Pistons is long.

And as much as we are attached to our homegrown players, I’m only convinced that Ivey and Cade are starters next year. Bey and Stewart could easily be part of a trade to upgrade. Burkes, Noel, BB might not even make it through this year. The next 12 months will be huge if we are to make that next step.

i know you're joking but we'd have enough cap space to absorb any contract without sending back any salary to match. it obviously depends on how the season shakes out but we could definitely capitalize if there was a disgruntled player, a team wanted to shed salary, etc.

we can't trade future picks until our pick from the christian wood trade conveys but we can agree to trade our pick after the draft (with that team picking the player). that would be our biggest chip to play in a trade that involved any kind of star/quality player coming back to us.

This is my feelings as well, concerning Gores. Besides everything else, (public drunkenness, coke parties) he is passionate about getting the team winning. He has given the keys to the kingdom to Weaver, and so far, the outlook is really good. This is the year that the team has to start showing promise. Since 2011 when his group took over the team, and his sole purchase in 2015, he has seen a winning record once. You better believe he is getting antsy.

If the team doesn't show some kind of promise, this year, I'll bet anything Gores will be getting sweaty about the whole thing.

A long term outlook is key to most everything, but signs of growth, no matter how minimal help get you to where you need to be.

A lot of us have forgotten somewhat about the whole picture, often leaving out Gores outlook on the whole thing. He could at any time up end the apple cart.

Pretty sure Gores will remain off to the side as long as we show improvement and growth.

Since Weaver arrived there's been nothing to indicate that Troy is not in full control. I doubt that changes now.

We're building for the long haul. One more "developmental" season and then we'll see what we see
