I don’t blame players for not wanting the smoke we give our players. Plus, Miami and Oakland are kinda dope places, you been?

Legacy isn’t worth what it used to be.. but best believe, had I made the league, I’d box someone to get to MSG… some of us just built different.

Nah I been to Miami not Oakland. Been to parts of cali tho its beautiful. I was always a NY head nowadays that gets less n less every year

I feel like if u feel like u THE best that u are THAT **** and u pass on taking on the challenge of the world's most famous arena to go to Cleveland or some other corny place where the lights ain't as bright.... That's corny to me. Like u said I always wanted ALL the pressure I didn't care what the challenge was. I just never understood how some players lack pride n ego. Like football players dogging it... Go be great every second u out there.

That’s fair.

Not to Lebron for going home to Akron/Cleveland.

KD is from Maryland though, so maybe the smoke he gets is warranted, but honestly, I’d be about my money too and would’ve chosen Golden State. But again, I’m simple like that; I like money.

Oh that's true I did forget LeBron from there. But I still feel like early on he avoided the pressure that NY brings. He ain't want it. Which is why Melo will always be in my heart plus he boricua, all day

After he left Cle I feel like LeBron would of came bc he proved to himself. But at that point he chose a better situation

kinda my point...I hate thibs. I think I could get juiced about this team if we actually invested in our youth. But instead I know what I'm about to see with Randle/Fournier tonight.

It's not Thibs's fault. These are two of our most talented players.

The FO is responsible for the direction of this franchise.

Randle made All-NBA and they paid him. They thought they could build on the success of 2020-21 and they added Fournier. Thibs is on the ground trying to do the best that he can with what he was given.

you have to also play a roster that fits together. Of course the FO owns there portion of the blame. But you don't play two bad defenders in the backcourt together...and playing Randle off ball will never provide enough returns.

This is the point.

Fournier's inconsistent shooting doesn't make up for his piss poor defense while we already have Brunson.

The starting lineup already has 3 potential 20ppg scorers. Fournier's offensive capability is not maximized because he will not get any shots anyway.

The starting lineup needs a defensive dirty work guy who will likely only get up 6-8 shots per game, likely spot up 3's.

Fournier is at his best getting up 11+ shots per game.

He should lead the bench as the 6th man.

Any team with a frontcourt of RJ, Randle and Robinson requires floor spacers in the back court, and Fournier is the best shooter on the team.

Also Grimes is hurt. And has been hurt for quite a while now.

If he comes back shooting the ball at a high percentage and playing defense, then he should start at some point. But first he needs to play in order to earn that spot.

100000%

And randle fans don't wanna admit it either but they BOTH be better cmn off the bench. Why bc we don't need they scoring in the starting unit, we have plenty of scorers and Obi n Grimes fits better

JJJ waxed us last time we played and he's not playing so there's that.

Grizz is a tough opener though. I expect a loss and would love to be surprised.

Knicks fans asking for Grimes to play in a boot and jeopardize his NBA career just to cater to their hatred for Fourni3r, a good man, and also the best shooter on the team.

Shameful.

I don't think there is any way we do not make a major midseason trade. This is not the roster that will finish the season.

I hear you.

But We will assume RJ and Randle will hit 3's at a better clip this season than last because let's be real ...there's no way they can get any worse....especially after adding a PG like Brunson to create and open thing up.

And Brunson himself is lights out from 3.

So then what? Do you need 1-4 great 3pt shooters while there's two huge defensive liabilities in the backcourt? No good.

When teams are scoring at will against you, morale drops, tensions rise, and the team plays tight and presses .....and even decent shooters like Fournier stop hitting...

The Knicks had 3 good shooters in the starting lineup in the 20-21 season, and only one was a 20ppg scorer ...they had two awful shooters, and a very potent bench.... and yet they were the 4th seed who played great defense and their offense was good.

Run it back with that Formula: 3 scorers, 2 defensive players, and let Fournier's scoring fortify the bench.
