Yeah, probably less than half the league looks at the spreadsheet in general (most managers don't even bother to add their draft picks to the spreadsheet :banghead:).

I think cutting out a lot of the record keeping in the history tab, emphasizing just a few simple records for teams, and decoupling new mangers history from previous ones might make people more inclined to check it out.

Honestly I looked at it but only the draft tab until I started looking at other tabs. I wouldn't get rid of any history, finishes, original keepers, the running tally of all trades.

I found it really interesting to look at. Isn't that results page formula driven? Seems like batsmasher wrote some complex formulas to get that scoring down...awarding points for placement...I started that in year 1 to try and make sure everyone's long term goal was to be competitive and win a championship and be good for a long time after building their team. I dropped down to 3rd for 2 years after finishing poorly and despite not getting good players with picks and always dropping in picks, I bounced back up to 3rd I think the next year...or maybe 2.

sorry, maybe not cutting out all the data/record keeping - I think that stuff is actually awesome and we should try to be as deep as possible without running ourselves ragged in real life with fantasy bball record keeping. But we should feature other things more strongly (highest finish, average placement especially).

I also want to add winning rosters to a sort of "hall of fame", and if possible those winning rosters will be the players that played most games for the championship team rather than just the team at the end of the season. Or keep a track of which players have appeared on the most championship rosters ex LeBron has like 2 championships (kerrsed, desertfox), although that might be too detailed to maintain. Maybe post season awards that we managers vote on in here would be nice too.

Anyway, if we have any more simple/easy to implement ideas that dont require much commitment, please feel free to suggest them.

And the season of annoying AF push notifications has begun!
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Not having your rookie play for a year is nothing compared to his upside vs some other prospects (who are still very good, make no mistake). Amazing to get a prospect like that at #5.

Obviously everything can change, and hey, there's a better version of Chet in next year's draft anyway. And that seems to be the real prize for the teams picking in the top tier this year. This year is just the set up to get a complimentary player for Wemby.

After having KD, Hayward, Zion, and Wiseman all miss significant time, I did not want to deal with that again.

Its all about injuries for me, as long as they aint bad, I should be in good shape for the first repeat. But William is already out for a good chunk of the season, hopefully he comes back before Street Clothes is out for the year.

I'm wondering how long Middleton will be out. I knew he was out in the playoffs, but I didn't know it was serious enough to carry into this season.

Yeah I think bdub took him. I was debating on taking him too, but thought he would get regulated back to the bench once JJJ comes back. Because of that I wanted to go for other players with higher upside, but already kicking myself a little for not grabbing him. I did take Jaden McDaniels with my first pick and was also kicking myself for taking him I feel way too high. He played very well tonight and I'm hoping this is a good sign for things to come. Would have been very happy had he just made a 3 (missed all 3 attempts).

Yeah, I was planning on taking him. It was funny in Premier Kyler Murray sent me him as his pick AFTER TASTIC took him and I told him he was gone. I was hoping to nab him in the 4th round in dynasty but thought for sure Kyler would take him...but he took Rui. So I got him.

I had him on my radar in Premier too when TASTIC took him but wasn't planning on taking him nearly as early as TASTIC would...at least a round or two later, but if tonight is any indication, it looks like a good pick even where TASTIC took him...great pick.

I thought he might put Clarke out of a job and we could maybe go after him...but he got extended. They keep their depth.

Im sad Aldama was taken, as I have JJJ he was on my radar for so long. Played it safe with what I think is the more valuable dynasty asset in Jalen Williams because I didnt think people would be hot for a player who was going to get replaced by JJJ. Thought Aldama would be available on waivers lol.

But its good to see our managers are really improving. If you guys haven't already, I recommend watching Josh Lloyds youtube. Lots of good information, but more than that if you pay attention to his thought process he is actually teaching fantasy basketball skills.

As for my start to the season, it's encouraging. Don't expect a top 3 finish this year but I just want to see more improvement especially at the SF and C positions. Pokusevski, Sengun, and Okongwu need to make up for JJJs absence (Poku and Sengun are my "rookies" at 20 years old). Im anticipating FG% and Blks to be a struggle this year without Mitchell Robinson and JJJ.

I didn't think my team performed that well last night since Kyrie had a really off-night, Vucevic shot under 40%, McGee isn't going to be utilized as much as I thought either. Mobley also had a pretty pedestrian night.

Part me is hoping Nets suck so they trade KD, but then my Dynasty team doesn't want that because then Kyrie probably just retires

I ultimately think the Nets will be very good. Kyrie had a bad game last night and the Pelicans could be tough...Zion had a monster game.

If Kyrie plays like he normally does and KD, that's enough alone, but Simmons is likely to continue to improve after his hiatus and developing chemistry with new teammates.

Boy did I make a mistake drafting Ziaire Williams with Zion on the roster. Seeing Z. WILLIAMS notifications about injury is giving me a heart attack.

Speaking of Zion, his return has destroyed Herb Jones’ offense. I guess I way underestimated that when I chose him as a keeper.

Jones put up 6/4/3 with 1 3pt and 1 block in game 1 and is at 3/2/2 with 2 blocks so far in game 2 with under 3 mins left. Ugh.

I drafted Jones in premier and there were warnings about him getting points and that his production would be down with a healthy big 3 especially Zion. But I mainly drafted him for steals. I was expecting probably less than 10 ppg. That being said, their guys will miss games, especially Zion.

This rookie class continues to ball. I didn't pay too much attention to the draft back in June, didn't realize how good this lotto class was.

I'm feeling pretty good about getting Ivey at 6.
