I know the Knicks desperately need spacing for Brunson, and Fournier is technically the best shooter, but I'm sick of this guy and the way he plays.

He's basically invisible 90% of the time, except he stands out on every possession on defense by being Jose Calderon bad turnstile D.
And even though he'll fool by shooting 40% on 3 for the year, that feels like 3 trash games followed by a game where he goes absolutely nuts and is 6/7 from 3.

If I were to distill my Fournier Knicks viewing experience, it's this:

Randle and Fournier doing some dopey 2 man DHO. Fournier cuts somewhere. Knicks move the ball crisply among 3 players, to find Founier open for the 3 pointer, which he promptly misses. Other team goes down the court, makes the 3.
A few plays later, same result.
A few plays later, same result.
The Fournier makes 2 of his stupid runner bank shots, so now he's shooting 2/5
Then he makes a random 3
"HE'S SHOOTING 50% GOING INTO HALFTIME!"

I advocated for this guy. I think the Knick needed a player like this, like they needed Burks, to make up for RJ's all around offensive shortcomings while he developed.

It doesn't change that Fournier is middling offensively and a sieve on defense.
What sucks is RJ doesn't appear to be taking the next step, but he got the $.

Oh well. Maybe somehow they'll land an offensive star so Fournier can go away and RJ can assume his rightful role as Maple Fournier

That was a clear foul and goaltend by Ja on Brunson but the zebras are never going to call that. I was shocked they even called that offensive foul on Ja when he charged into Brunson right before the Reddish 3. But very encouraged what I saw from Reddish, Hartenstein, Randle, Brunson and Thibs.

Reddish has to be in the rotation. He gives us a dimension and skillset on the wing nobody else on this roster can. Kudos to Thibs for staying with him in the 4th and drawing up that beautiful play for him to tie the game and send it into OT!

RJ couldn't buy a bucket but he will be fine.

Antman shot 7/20, Dame shot 5/18 and Trae shot 7/22 last night. Bad shooting games happen. To make judgements on a player on one game is foolish. Some of you are an embarrassment to this board, all Knicks fans and even all humanity and I'd shot you all in the foot with KnixtapeH20's gun if I could. :x

Some guys here not really fans. I could at least admit when RJ playing trash but it’s something else to actually root for him to play garbage. They built weird.

Yeah I don't get that. We should want everyone to do as best as they can. All about whatever it takes to win which is for everyone to do the best they can.

I'll need a list

Do the first two players prominently feature the letter "R" ?

You're terrible

In any case, that's the responsibility of the organization. I thought Thibs and the front office were negligent last year in many aspects. Thibs is at least a proven and respectable coach. I don't know what the FO's redeeming quality is.

Can we put the "Obi needs to start" stuff to rest?

He's a fun energy big off the bench. He has some use.
But he's not starter material. Let's be real.

If RJ parades like he's locked in, maybe he IS, relative to his talent level, which is why he's able to average around 17 ppg, while Cam swings wildly between 20 pts and 4 pts, because he has all the talent but lacks the effort and focus like a Tim Thomas 2.0

IF Cam can lock in, he's the more gifted player. It's a big if. Hope it happens.

Definitely. Some actually thought that Reddish was the best all around talent (from a potential standpoint) of the Duke Big 3. Was always about up and down play and settling with Reddish.

Maybe FINALLY, Knicks strike 2nd draft gold.

Vonleh, Mudiay and Mario make me think it's probably not the case. Did I miss any names?

I don't know if we should put the ball in his hands as a playmaker, he caught the ball in spots where he had to make quick decisions or just attacked right off the bat. I feel like if you put the ball in his hands too much too soon he's gonna try and up the saucy rating and that's when all the step backs and side steps off the dribble make an appearance. For now, keep it simple, attack when you get it.

What I was most surprised of is that Thibs actually let Reddish do his thing for as long as he did last night. Will also be interesting to see if Thibs gives Reddish the same type of burn against Detroit (he honestly should as Detroit is an excellent situation in terms of matchup needs to get Reddish in and see if he can get on a roll).

To think, even though the Knicks would have traded 5 picks, they might have cleared RJ, IQ and Obi right off the team.
