I don't think the Blazers are ready for new Dam..ion Lee.

I hope the Suns remember the ass-whooping Blazers gave us beginning of the year last year and return the favor. I was debating on going to this game, but decided against it, since I have a lot of plans for next year and need to save money.

Always with the excuses. Last year it was the couch over the game.

Haha! I kinda remember the couch thing from last year. But with economy bad recently it only makes sense.

Thanks to Qwigglez for giving me an idea to change my avatar to Damion Lee. Money well spend :).. are we the only three posters who changed our avy’s from last night? (Bwgood included).

Sorry that was BW who suggested to use Damion Lee avatars for next game. I’m getting too old to remember who said what. :-?

Tough matchup defensively.

I guess you put Mikal on Lillard, Book on Simons, CP3 on Hart and Johnson on Grant?

Simons has really improved and is gonna make Booker work a lot.

Wonder if Shamet can play, having him for 10-15 mins as a shooter off the bench would help.

Except now we are debating on moving back to Phoenix, plus we are planning our wedding in May. And then have a trip to Japan to visit my brother before my brother and his wife get out of the Navy. I did buy LP though since it was cheaper than last year.

Oh yeah, and then my dummy roommates moved out to get their own apartment. Makes no sense to pay an extra $1000 a month just to have a bit more privacy. At least it doesn't make sense to me.

Well you obviously get how important money is while others have no clue and would rather overpay for a bit of extra privacy. Keep saving up as everything’s going up lately with gas prices and food become more expensive. Plus keep in mind inflation keeps going up over the years so saving money and doing stock market is important.

I remember a few months back the entire Miami Heat forum (kind of a jokester fun form...the opposite of this one) all had avatars for that one player who hit a game winning basket and crossed his arms..with a funny look on his face...can't even remember the players name.

But it was hilarious. There were probably at least 50 people with those avatars posting on the forums. They would all change the exact same picture up a little bit too.

Yeah, but we switch a lot and they force it so before you know it Ayton will be on Lillard or something.

Just be ready for 40 ft Lillard 3 pointers to go down when he needs them regardles of who is on him.

Yeah, I'm not at all concerned for extra privacy, mostly because I can sacrifice a bit of privacy now for a reward later (stocks, house, retirement, etc). I also enjoy more vacations because my roommates pay most of my mortgage off. Plus, what am I going to do with the 4 extra bedrooms in my house (currently 2 are empty).
This is also why I'm going to school now. I'm close enough to being capped out at my current job and realized some of the guys who have the same job as me who are in their mid-40s who have smaller houses than me, less money in their 401k, and just overall are struggling a lot financially and I don't want to end up in their shoes. So I need to make more money ASAP. Unfortunately I have no college credits so I'm basically a freshman and feel like meme a lot.

Props to going to school at that age. Not easy to do when you can make good or even decent money. What are you going to school for?

Damn...good one. I was about to say I'd do something like that but thought you might say MBA or something. I had a girlfriend who averaged like a C- in college and had software engineering...in like Iowa and got a job in Utah and now I see her on FB traveling all around the world.

That stuff has got to be hard, but the thing is, it's hard for everyone.

It's gotten softer over the years. When I got a computer science degree back in 85 it was three semesters of calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, and handful of other math classes. Something like 30 credit of math. Then a crap ton of physics, chemistry, and engineering courses kicked in too boot. I would have loved to taken a "Beers of the World" class like they offer now but there was just no room in the curriculum. I worked 20-30 hours per week too. Those were crazy days but retired at 50.

Yeah that is correct. Everyone says it's extremely difficult. But if you can learn it, it pays very nicely. So far I'm getting it, but I'm only learning the fundamentals so we'll see once I dive into the more complex problems.
But yeah I'd love to just get a remote working job, one of my other roommates has been in Europe and Africa the last 3 months, and he's been working while being overseas. Super great for him and I'm extremely envious of his situation.
