Sixers record after 10 games

Post#1 » by sweetlou23 » Wed Oct 19, 2022 4:09 pm

I guess 10-0 is no longer an option. What do you think the sixers record will be after 10 games? Their schedule is a gift. They should go 8-1 or 7-2 over the next nine games.

I think we lose to the Bucks and split with the Raptors but should sweep the rest if we’re a real contender.

I think we split with the Raptors and end up 8-2

Yeah we need easy schedule in order to win many games, against tougher opponents we will suck as usual...

Well, all the way to the end of November is a pretty easy stretch.

We all know this team will rack up regular season wins and big stats. But the only part that matters starts in April.

How bad does the record need to be for Doc to get fired? Put me down for that.

That won't happen short of an early playoff exit. I'm not even sure another 2nd round exit gets him out.

It's on the owners, because I find it hard to believe that Morey wouldn't jettison him if we have the same stale product by mid season. Problem is that this group will dominate lesser teams and pile up regular season wins, as has been the M.O. here.

In light ofthe revelations about Embiid's conditioning issues and the 0-2 start I am going to revise my prediction down to 6-4 at best.

Should be a few more wins in these first 10 games than there will be in the seasons last 10 games.

0-10 would get Doc out of here. Hoping that Morey has got D’Antoni’s contact info. Not sure HE’s ideal, but at least he’d show up with a ready made system to put in place, instead of this random behavior we’ve been inflicted with.

I think some of you all just need to relax on the reactions. Everything is going to chill out, we're going to figure things out and start rolling. It's just not happening at the moment and we suck, but the momentum changes throughout the season. Jo typically starts off the year playing catch up. We should all know this by now. I think Harden looks terrific and Maxey has taken another step forward this year. Tobias and Tucker both look a little lost right now and our bench if giving us nothing. Docs rotations remain terrible in my opinion, but he's got no choice but to switch it up at some point and he will. I think right now he's giving a lot of minutes to the new additions because they need them to get acclimated. If we're going to have issues on the floor with defense, communication, and then again on offense then it needs to be ironed out now as opposed to trying to do it in March. Like I said, I think our guys will eventually get on the same page and once that happens we'll start winning. Like I said, I'm in chill mode with this right now and I'm going to stay there.

No one would be hired until after the season. I can't think of any team that has hired a new coach mid-season.

I'd rather give someone in-house (Cassell, Burke, etc.) a shot than hire D'Antoni. I'd rather go with someone unproven than someone who has proven to be incapable of winning a title with the multiple teams he's coached. It's a damn shame that he and the Hornets weren't able to come to terms in the offseason. Sadly, I doubt Morey and ownership agree with me.

I got it at 4, but I like your optimism.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.
