Miami gets: Westbrook + Crowder

Lakers get: Lowry + Robinson

Westbrook / Vincent

Send Westbrooks expiring and all of our picks out for the next disgruntled all star PG/PF and I’m down

I mean, if it were that easy, the Lakers could cut Miami out and do the same themselves. If the rumors are correct, the Lakers have an option like this on the table:

Lakers get: Buddy Hield and Myles Turner

Pacers get Westbrook and 1-2 1sts from the Lakers

That is infinitely better than Robinson, Lowry, and any picks Miami might be able to send IF the goal is to maximize LeBron James's last ~2 all-NBA seasons. In fact, that could be expanded to include Crowder going to LA for Nunn.

Turner / Bryant
Davis / Crowder
James / Toscano-Anderson
Hield / Walker
Schroder / Beverly

What are they waiting for?

Bench Lowry and unleash point Jimmy like we were doing when Nunn was starting. He’ll bring Nunn back in the Westbrook deal lol.

But anyways, move Lowry to the bench and have him run that unit with shooters or something. Start Jovic. I would say start Dipo but god knows what’s the hell we’re going to get from him this year.

Jimmy/Lowry
Herro/Dipo or Gabe (Health)
Martin/Duncan
Jovic/Strus
Bam/Yurt

Have Caleb guard the opposing teams best perimeter player, Bam guards the best big. Herro guards the worst perimeter player and Jovic guard the slowest player.

We can make that work. Lowry doesn’t need to be stubborn, Wade came off the bench and you’re literally nothing compared to him

We clearly gave the wrong former Raptor $30M a year.

Precious would be a godsend rn.

A Godsend? Did you see his stats in his first game? He's much worse than Crowder. His only upside his athletic and youth.

Hmm let's see: veteran presence, been to the finals, better three ball.

Precious is a gleague guy still trying to stay on the raptors roster. Some upside but a lot to prove.

That stuff can only get you so far when you’re not a good defender anymore and your shot is streaky. Strictly the game of basketball I’ll give you that he’s a better shooter but precious is a better defender and all around offensive player.

I value shooting. I'm not for watching athletic guys run up and down a court shooting bricks and playing defense. Those teams are boring and they suck. So 90s. Cavs, Knicks, Pistons :noway:

I don't mind Duncan if he's on a team that is already defensively strong. Duncan won us more games than he lost us.

Ehhhh that’s definitely debatable but regardless, we already have enough shooters. This team needs a bigger athletic body added to the mix and a PG who can actually do something on both sides. Shooting wasn’t the issue last night

Right, Duncan was made redundant when Strus emerged. A move has to be made.

I don't know how realistic Nunn for Crowder is; they could offer Beverly for Crowder. What is certain is Crowder is available and given he is away from the Suns, I don't think it'd take much to get him. Phoenix might want a pick, though.

Still, according to the rumors the Westbrook and 2 1sts for Turner and Hield is doable, but the Pacers want both picks unprotected, I think. And I am pretty sure the Lakers still owe New Orleans 1-2 1sts from the A Davis trade, so giving up 2 more 1sts to get rid of Westbrook would compromise their draft situation over the next 4-5 years.

I don't think there is a better move out there for LA, but it is also questionable Hield and Turner "fix" the Lakers. That said, just letting Westbrook expire is addition by subtraction; it doesn't get LA more talent.

The Pistons are very interesting. They're going to lose a lot but are going to surprise people. They've got a shot at Victor this draft. If they add him to that team they're one of the most watchable teams in the league.

Yup glad you pointed that out. It’s a joke how we start undrafted G league talent but god forbid you give your 1st rd pick any run. Jovic is 19 just like Herro when he came into the league. Jovic at the 4 right now gives us a better chance just standing there at 6’10 then Caleb at 6’5 trying to protect the paint.

Return to Miami Heat
