This is a loss, in every conceivable fashion.

1.) Pistons are missing key rotation players.

2.)Insanely young team coming off a win.

3.)second game into a long process of learning to play with each other.

4.) Playing a Thibs team that will play hard defense.

5.) Knicks lost in overtime in Memphis, and this is their home opener.

I'll be happy if the whole game is competitive. This is a loss, through, and through.

Accept it now.

Worried about their D. Bojan will need to be Mr 3 again. Need to push the ball to get some transition hoops.

Just hoping Cade comes out aggressive. He doesn't need to put up a ton of shots, but when he's forcing defenses to react, the game just gets a lot easier for all our other guys.

Hopefully our guys remember them beating us... Also as someone pointed out, switching on defense happened in the pre-season, but not so much in Game 1, so maybe it was just experimenting, which is what pre-season is/should be for.

I'd love a win.. If we get off to a good start, guys will gain confidence, trust each other more, move the ball around, and expect to win.

If the starting lineup is going to be Cade, Ivey, Bey, BB and Stewart they're going to get murdered again.

And not that wins this season mean much in the grand scheme, but I'd sure like to see a Cade, Ivey, BB, Stew and Duren lineup. Or even Bey instead of BB for that matter. I just think putting Duren in the middle, which allows Stew to shoot 3's, and eliminates one of either Bey or BB from the starting D is a win-win-win.

Exactly. I'm not sure why Casey, who had planned on Bagley starting anyway, could possibly be opposed to it.

You told, and had Stewart take a billion three-point shots, and he looked good at end of season, summer league, and preseason, but now it's back to the non-shooting 5 role?

Gotta be consistent. Stewart is not a 5, but he could possibly end up as one of the top ten PF's in the league if he can hit 36% of his long balls with as good of defense as he plays.

Damn Casey.

If Noel can give some backup minutes it would really help. Who knows, perhaps he can have a sweet revenge moment at MSG.

Is he cleared to play? Also i might of missed it but what's the timeline on Bagley's injury?

Noel isn't on the injury report so maybe he can contribute a bit. Bagley looks like at least a month.

Once Bagley gets back its gonna be "Lob City" when he's in the lineup with Duren. Or it's gonna be poor spacing and a giant mess

Bojan played great last game, and he's also in a contract year and probably won't be happy being a bench player after starting for years for a good Utah team.

He's a starter for as long as he's here IMO, and then if a good offer comes through and Weaver wants Duren in the starting lineup he'll trade away Bojan.

I tend to agree this should be an L, I'd feel better about our chances if Burks or Livers were playing and getting minutes instead of Knox.

Revenge for the Knicks for stealing Duren, maybe. Knox is complete ass. On nights he can shoot, he’s acceptable, but barely. Weak defense, no vision, just jacking up shots. On nights he isn’t hitting, he’s downright terrible.

Gonna probably take a good beating tonight folks. I hope it can at least be competitive. It will be interesting watching the swing from one extreme to the other. After the first game, Pistons are the greatest thing since sliced bread, let's see how much vitriolic spew comes out after a loss, maybe a bad loss.

Basketball is so unpredictable in the regular season. Who knows, we could win. This isn't pre-season anymore.
