GT: Nets Vs Raptors- 7:30

Post#1 » by Stone » Fri Oct 21, 2022 10:44 pm

The Raptors squeaked out a win the other night against a good Cavaliers team. This is a winnable game for us and we really need it after the embarrassing performance the other night.

Ben needs to push the pace and attack the paint. We cannot have a bad offensive start against Toronto or we're done for

Ben is still scared to attack the rim but he's looked better so far.

Nash needs to take Claxton out before he gets foul 3.

Toronto is doubling KD hard. We need to run some off ball action for him

We're not running any offense for some reason.

Nic has got to take more time at the line. Take a breath and focus. He is shooting it in like 3 seconds.

I was hoping coaching wouldn't be a huge issue but it clearly already is. Lineups being played. Timeouts. No working the refs. Zero change from last year.

Nets ARE running offensive sets and trying to push the ball, problem is the shots aren't going in and KD is super cold.

Good thing Siakam sat down, he was busting our ass. Have no answer for him.

Not encouraged at all by this game so far. Hopefully we wake up and have one good quarter. In the first we scored 28 but the offense wasn't good at all. Just a lot of clunkiness overall. Lots of forced stuff from KD because he had no other choice.

KD missed a lot of great looks - so that hurts the overall score - but I just don't think we played well. The defense was pretty good I guess.
