I said to my wife as he came up "no way he hits one out, right? It would just be too storybook".
One that will be a legendary Philadelphia sports moment. Unforgettable.

Listen, the Union are in the East Finals as well. This could be the first multi-championship year Philly has ever seen.
As for the Phillies… what a wonderful, unexpected, fabulous ride. I thought they could beat the Cardinals, but then would get creamed by New York, Atlanta, or Los Angeles. As it turned out, San Diego took out two of them and the Phils surprisingly made it look easy against the defending champs.

Union would've won it all last year despite that whole virus debacle, but I digress,
Phillies came out of nowhere. They looked like they were gonna cough up a playoff spot (again). This is magical.

This is the inferior version of "Dancing On My Own." Otherwise, no notes. Had an ugly cry after this win and downed too many beers.

Baseball will never rank higher then 3rd for me overall but that Cubs run a few years back was as good as any sports memory I have.
Good luck

Haven't followed in years. How are the Astros cheaters? What happened?Sixersftw wrote:This is the inferior version of "Dancing On My Own." Otherwise, no notes. Had an ugly cry after this win and downed too many beers.

How many Philly fans are already trying to do the double dip between Thursday the 3rd Eagles Texans game and Game 6 of the WS on the 4th? Gotta be a sizable number.

Not me. Phils are priority #1, 2 and 3 right now. Besides, I quit the NFL a couple of years ago.

The Franzke / L.A. radio call. The best in the business.

Franzke is GOATed.
I wish the Astros weren't such trash ass cheaters. I lived there for a bit so I always have a soft spot for most Houston teams. Not anymore.

I meant live. Eagles play in Houston 11/3 while the Phillies play in Houston 11/4 (assuming there's a Game 6). It would be one hell of a trip.

Funny thing is the organization is so damn good they really didn't need to cheat to be successful. They completely retooled from that cheating team that 'won' the WS in 2017, and have done everything but win another one ever since. It has to gnaw at them that the only WS title in team history is that one.

Re: PHILS
It's still slightly weird to me to think of the Astros as an AL team.
Same goes for Milwaukee as an NL team for that matter.
