I predict 10-3 record over the coming stretch of games, and Mavs being 11-5 and 3d seed in the west.
This was a bad game by everyone except Luka and Wood, while Pels players seized the oppotunity of Ingram/Jones missing.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Kidd waiting at 1m35s to put Wood back in. Plus him not knowing when to take a timeout.

I agree with you but he was tired as f'ck. Didn't have legs to drive to the rim and all his shots were short. Kidd didn't manage his minutes correctly when we saw that he was already dragging his feet 8 minutes into the game. He has to do way too much now that Brunson is gone. Dinwiddie with the numbers but he had by far teams worst +/-. No defense at all. DFS/Bullock both terrible aswell.

Why Wood is used so poorly is also a mystery at this point.

Facu played more minutes than McGee is also something to remember

All the more reason to not take 30 shots if you are tired and have no lift in your shot. I think all of his 3s were short. If it's not working, stop. I don't even think he should have taken the last shot of the game. Give it to Wood

Kidd HAS to start Wood to help him on the offensive end. It's just stupid. He's the second best player, play him like the second best player. The Mavs could well be 3-0 if Wood was playing 34mpg.

Luka should be playing 9min per quarter like he was doing in his first few seasons.

Seriously my friend, i don't remember the last time you were right

Same old story, too many one way players in this roster... DFS, Bullock, Kleber and Green...if the 3s doesn't fall they are pretty useless in the offensive end and having only cheerleaders on the bench doesn't help.

At least we have another strong game by Wood.

Insane usage by Luka. That's not the way for win a title.

Yeah, that's why i said poor coaching and poor minutes management for all rotations. Wood is actually fighting in the post trying to get the ball (unlike KP) and Dinwiddie was ignoring him all the time, he rather dribbled for 20 seconds doing nothing. Same with Facu, dude passing the ball like it's a hot potato.

I was convinced Mavs will try something with Wood at the end but i forgot if he was even on the floor for that last shot. I remember Maxi not even setting up the screen correctly for Doncic and he got mad at him after the shot.

If you're wondering, he had 41% USG% this game 37/11/7 +6 and still lost by 2. :o

Are we seriously having this "sky is falling" argument again? No the sky is not falling and yes fans are allowed to be frustrated. This is a frustrating game to lose, period. I'd be more worried if this fanbase didn't give a crap.

These recycled arguments are getting old. Be better.

Yes fans can be frustrated, but let's live in reality. We're what 3% in the season?

The fanbase here posts double the amount after a loss than a win.

It can't happen, we will have a better record for sure (at least if Luka stays healthy), but that's not the point.

DFS+Bullock+Kleber+Green = 110 minutes played 16points/16rebounds/4assists 5/18 from the field and 2/12 from the 3s.

You not. And that doesn't surprise nobody.

I'm in full panic mode from 5years, because After drafting a generation talent our FO wrong all moves.

We are here to complain Luka's 3s when others players (not named Wood) are completely trash and useless in the offensive end.

But if you don't want to read fans frustration why don't you go elsewhere? Internet is a good and vast place

Here's my thoughts on the game so we can actually stay on topic:

- McGee was very bad. He constantly got beat off the dribble and was terrible defending the rim. If he continues to play like this 10 games in, there needs to be a serious conversation whether or not he should even play.

- Big 3 of Luka, Wood and Dinwiddie played well. I agree with the poster that said Luka settled for the 3 far too much though. It's a trend and it gets annoying how much he relies on it when he's clearly better when he drives or posts up.

- All of the 3 & D players did not bring it today on both ends. Literally inexcusable to have a super undermanned Pels team shoot 58% from the field.

- Campazzo played too much and for some reason was in stretches where he was playing off the ball. In a game where the team needed a lot to climb back, it seemed really odd to throw in someone that barely even practiced with the team and can't shoot into the game for long stretches.

- Wood needs to play 30+ mpg period. We play better when he's in and it's evident in the +/-. Heck he has played better defensively then McGee too.

Hopefully the team rebounds from this and is better next game.

Hopefully this game was Just a bad day(maybe they already wrote the win when they found out zion and Ingram were missing and they Just took it too easy, but there are definetly some red flags)

1.The big Man(exception Wood have been terrible so far)
-Mcgee looks lost...he was supossed to be a rim protector but so far he hasnt shown anything yet ..maybe he turns it around like Reggie last year)

-Maxi's shot is falling every fifth game, most times he's useless on ofense...his defense is also overrated

With this two playing the way they are Powell should get some time(at least he's the best roller)

2. It's obvious Mavs need another wing...Dodo and Reggie won't be enough,Green is just bad(high energy, solid defender but Just lacks the fundamentals and basketball IQ)

3. It was Campazzo's first game but it's obvious he's not the answer...i don't think he's made for the NBA(too small, liability on Both ends)

4. Luka needs to stop with the threes ...he takes to many(most of them are bad)...if you shoot 8 and they aren't falling STOP, stick to your strenghts...he was 14-17 for 2..he also had to try on D in every game, not Just against contenders...and stop dribling the ball soo Long

5. Mavs have too many limited Players on ofense(McGee, Kleber, Green, Frank, Facu are all not really a threat for the opponent's)

This is season is gonna be full of ups (great wins) and downs(losing to worse teams).. still hoping for some midseason trade to improve the team...if not and the team gets a first or second round exit, then changes have to be made...but for now I'm still hopefull the team(and Players) find their groove

One dimensional players who play defense really well and occasionally can make a shot. The problem is that it’s FOUR of them. Frank is also a part of that group. It’s the same issue they had last year. I never see any of these players cut to the basket or create their own offense. I don’t know if it’s the offensive scheme or major failings on the players themselves.
