Very good win tonight, Ant showed up big in the 3rd and completely demoralized the Nuggets. 4-0 and looking more and more comfortable with each win, everyone playing hard.

It's still early, but we're ~5% of the way through the season and Portland has as many wins as I thought they might have at about 20% of the way through the season. Love it! A great blowout win.

Best half of blazer basketball that I can remember. Outscoring a playoff team by 30 in the half. When is the last time we saw Damian and CJ hot at the same time? They combined 11 of 19 from 3. Supporting cast was great overall...except Nurk still needs to get in sync.

Nurk is Nurk. I don't expect him to ever improve around the basket. He was 4-12 tonight. He did have the best plus minus for the game though at +26.
If nurkic is playing good, he's passing the ball, making good reads, playing good defense, staying out of foul trouble and getting boards. That's the best you can expect from him, which is great but he's never gonna be a good offensive player unfortunately.
It's a good thing we have Dame, Simons and now Grant to get those points. Nurkic should focus on what he's good at and not get pouty when he's not involved on offense and we'll be alright. He should actually improve defensively now that we have better defenders on the wings with Hart, Winslow, Grant, Nas and Payton.

Early season, but so glad to see we have a coach that is not afraid of playing rotation guys!

Have a feeling Brandon-Clyde is going to make the next 78 GLBs look like my exs. Luckily, Chrome has a Mute All button.

Should Denver blow it up? Portland is a play-in team at best, and the Nuggets got blown out by them. Trade Jokić while he still has some value. Maybe something built around Westbrook + LAL 2027 1st? Tank for Wembanyama. If they're lucky, he might end up as good as Nikola Jokić.

Love the urgency. Hart might be the most competitive guy we have paired Dame with his whole tenure here. Just a straight up dog.
I knew the effort would be there but wasnt sure how it would translate in the W / L column. Excited it’s turning out wins. This will be the most enjoyable Blazers team to root for in years.
This squad + a healthy GP2 has an argument for the highest motor team in the league, it actually might not be close with the way Miami is playing, and I am very excited to be along for the ride.
Sharpe is getting minutes and producing at a level I expected to see when we, based on my glass half empty predictions, eventually we’re out of the picture and decided to go young. Great surprise so far.

It was so in vogue to bitch about Cronin but turning CJ into Grant and Hart was always and is today even more clearly a absolutely tremendous move. Like, from the moment we moved that MIL pick for Grant the value he squeezed from CJ should have been heralded as one of the better trades in recent blazer history. Far more of a coup than his poor trade with LAC was a stinker.

Small sample size disclaimer, but Norm is off to a HORRIBLE start to the season. He has a worse TS% (.339) that Russ 0 for 11 Westbrook, is shooting .300 on 2-point attempts and .143 3FG%. He has a rare negative PER and a WS/48 of -.201. I'm sure he'll turn it around, but if he was still starting for POR this season, there's no way we'd be 4-0 right now.
RoCo is doing better (who isn't?), but is only playing 17 MPG and has a TS% or .477.
Again, it's very, VERY early, and while I would have liked Cronin to have gotten more for them, I can honestly say I don't miss them. Grant + Hart >> RoCo + Norm.

What a fun and exciting second half. I really hope it Carrie's over into tomorrow night when they play Miami.
