Whole Utah team was cooked. Conley was there to playmake and defend and he did it well. Sometimes shots are falling and sometimes are not and Conley had very little usage becouse of chucker Mitchell.

For 22 mil a year there are going to be better options imo

NBA Today had a segment on him today. First teenager to score 20 points in first 4 games. Please post Paolo discussion in this thread.

Nah the shaming of davey_wavy was done with  so I think this thread/title is much more apropos for speaking about our #1 pick rather than a thread questioning his talent

I can't wait to see a line up with two guards Wagner, Paolo, and JI. I think Paolo might be able to be like a Giannis type of 5 on offense, but we can put in JI to sort of play the opposing 5 on defense, where as the Bucks have had to keep in a traditional big, where we will have 3 switchable bigs, all three might be able to guard 3 different positions.

with the caveat of Isaac being healthy....of course :-|

Why not Bol now who’s healthy? I can’t wait to see the above either btw.

Because I don't think Bol can guard centers, but I do think Isaac can (if he is capable of playing basketball)

Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching Bol play. He's been a blast, and I wouldn't mind him playing next to Franz, Paolo, and WCJ.

Kind of makes me sick that when you search for Isaac news and the most recent is a month ago about how he is inching closer, or him saying he is ready...and then you know...crickets.

I’m thinking Paolo is defending the 5 in that scenario but understand he may get switched on.

Why is the other thread locked? We had ongoing Elf bait threads and Vuc threads for years. Everything was still on topic in terms of discussing Paolo and if he is overrated.

I think it should stay open

We can have a more general Banchero thread in circulation, but also I think locking the other thread is too much policing. We’ve had similar threads that have stayed open many times over the years?

Is there some sort of benefit or value to have ongoing bait threads that stay open for years? Seems like worthless noise to me.

If you want to have a serious discussion about Paolo's strengths and weaknesses, make a thread about it.

Just wait. His rookie season will have plenty of ebbs and flows.

So don’t participate in it, it’s pretty simple. I just don’t see why something completely basketball related and not off-topic needs to be locked.

Nobody was attacking the poster, just the posters opinion.

Yeah I do that for the UCF thread and stuff. Unfortunately people put interesting discussion mixed in with the noise. It's basically two separate conversations in the same thread, and I only care about one of them. Maybe someone can make a new thread to make fun of davey_wavy every single game. I'll be happy to ignore that one.

.. I still don't agree.

Again, it's just bad optics. It was the only thread getting discussion. It's like if we went to another board and Evan Mobley or Scottie Barnes's threads were "Are we sure they aren't trash?" then I'd probably think most of the board are idiots, tbh.

If he goes on a run of bad games then of course a thread will pop up naturally and it's fine. The fact that it was the thread for Paolo discussion is why I locked it.

I get really emotionally attached to players on this team and it’s hard for me to let any of them go because I am invested in their journey, however 5 games into Banchero’s rookie season and I am okay with whomever Orlando have to trade to surround him with players that’s going to help him improve and help build a winning culture. We don’t even have to wait until next year, Dec. 15th sounds like a good time to start.
