Last the Timberwolves saw some major success. A team of veterans and promising young players came together and made the playoffs. We gave the Memphis Grizzlies a competitive 6 game series, a series that we had an outside chance of winning if not for a lack of mental and physical toughness that cost us a couple of games.
The 2021-2022 season was the kind of NBA season Timberwolf fans have been waiting to see for several years. The team delivered on the promise they showed early on. Now its time for the team to take the next step. To not just make the playoffs but to do some tangible damage in those playoffs.
The Timberwolves welcome NBA superstar center Rudy Gobert into the fold. Can he and Karl Anthony Towns find chemistry to be the most dominant frontcourt in the league? Caan this team successfully zig while everyone else is zagging and make a team with two starting centers work in the modern game?
Will we be a top 6 seed, a play-in team, or have a disaster of a year and miss the opportunity of the post-season altogether? Which players will be the unsung heroes of the season? Which players will be painted as villains? Figuring out those questions is all part of what we do here in the +/- game, try to predict who will have the best and worst nights and play accordingly.
It is time again, I will ask, "Who Ya Got!?" for the new 2022-2023 Minnesota Timberwolf Basketball season!
For those new to the game, lets go over the rules and practices
Anyone can join in on the fun at any time and take their shot at being a winner. There is no long-term commitment. Stop in and make a pick for one week, one game, or all season! It doesn't matter. Every season people play as much as they want.
The Game: Playing the +/- game is simple. You pick any player before the game, and you watch them play. Anything that player scores above his average gives you + points. Anything the player scores below his average give you - points. The goal is to have the most + points by the end of the week. Whoever has the most points by the end of the week is the weekly winner.
Example: You pick Prince, and he goes off for 28 points. Since
Prince averages 8 PPG; you would get +20 for that night. Conversely, if Prince played and got 0 points, you would get -8.
Important Rules and Guidelines:
-You can change your pick at any time before the game*
*(You can not change your player if he is already started playing.)
-Numbers WILL NOT be rounded. If a player is averaging 19.9 PPG it will count as 19.
-If you pick a player and they do not play, you get 0 points. You don't lose or gain anything.
-You can pick any number of "insurance" players if you are unsure if your player will play.
-Do not make your picks for the next day's games until after the current game is finished.
-The Calrissian rule: This rule states that a player isn't eligible to be picked unless they have played three games for the Timberwolves in the season. After the three-game period, they will be using their average PPG as a Timberwolf only going forward.
- The sudden death rule: This rule states that in the event of a tie during the final win tally of the season, the champion with the most total point number with their wins, wins the year, and the other champion gets a runner-up title. If the totals of both competitors happen to be the same, then well, I'll figure something else out

-You can not request one player for multiple games. E.g., You can't say, "Give me KAT for the week.
It is time to crown the 2020-2021 Who Ya Got +/- champion! The season started out hot as there was some good participation and competition. Mamba4Goat, Calinks, and FinnTheHuman started things off fast with multiple wins but as time wore on Calinks started to pull ahead. Later in the season-long time +/- player and multi-time champion _AIJ_ started picking up steam. In the end, it came down to one use playing and winning the most games, however.
The 2022 Plus Minus Champion is.......

I have again been found the last person standing to win the 2022 Who Ya Got +/- championship! I may run out of fingers for all of these rings!
