This is totally off-base.

Actual NBA management would rank them no worse than middle of the road. There's plenty of mistakes, sure, but they do a lot more right than they do wrong.

Spurs at #19 immediately takes credibility away from the rest of this list.

I think the Magic have always been ranked low in these lists, right? I can't remember if it includes ownership / Alex Martins level, or if it's just Hammond and Weltman.

Lakers have 2 top 20 guys and built the worst possible roster around them for 2 seasons straight and are wasting Lebron's final seasons. They have the keys to the Porsche and are drunk at the wheel. They are the most poorly managed team in the league.

Come on, how can you really disagree with this? Weltman and Hammond have been here for 6 years, had 6 drafts, 6 free agency periods, five draft picks in the top 8, and built the worst team in the NBA. Their two highest-paid players -- Isaac and Fultz -- never play, and for some unknown reason they still re-signed them to multi-year extensions. They've wasted years trying to develop mediocre talent. No one on the roster can shoot in a league where the most valuable skill is shooting. Their only discernible strategy is tanking. So yes, at the very least, this is one of the worst-managed teams in the NBA.

That list is bogus. The current Lakers brass and Sacramento are easily worse than the Magic. San Antonio is 19th? I’m pretty sure the Knicks and Nets are worse too at this rate.

There is no way the Kings, Lakers, or Suns are above us. That's insane.

I think it does have to do with the Magic brass not leaking much.

Now that doesn't mean I think they're perfect by any means. 20-25 is fair considering how mediocre we've been for a while. 30 is insane though.

LOL at Lakers being trashed.

October 10th, 2020, Lakers beat Miami to become nba champions.

You know, the actual nba goal. I know it's hard to some to understand that winning lottery isn't nba goal, but people, get a grip.

Yes, their Lakers team is structured in fashion where everybody plays to their weaknesses, but among all people, it really shouldn't be Magic fans to mock floor spacing since last guard who could shoot and pass was Nelson.

We're probably bottom 2-3 over the last 10 years but no way we are behind the Kings. They drafted Bagley over Luka / Trae & traded Hali for Sabonis, while missing the playoffs for almost 2 decades.

for small market teams you have to consider luck in draft lottery.
having a top 3 pick in 2021 draft instead of 2022 is totally different for example.

so weham are terrible, but give them the chance to get Mobley or the #1 next draft instead of the past one and that change everything.

also: NY and LA teams playing in their own league in term of free agents, should not even being considered with other teams, their competitive advantage is too big.

Since we made the decision to trade Vooch, our management has done great. The Vooch trade was brilliant. The Wagner pick obviously was great. Paolo may be a friggin grand slam (and one I was wrong about). Even Cole was obviously a really good pick for where he was taken. Sure, some luck is involved, but it's clear we have developed a really good amount of young talent. They missed on some picks (Bamba, Chuma) but it's possible Wagner/Paolo could become a Tatum/Brown like duo. Credit to WeHam for that.

They got lucky on some
Draft picks but have yet been able to put a good team together . People can’t get mad at the perception of the magic being badly ran when all the team does is lose . Even this year the magic have yet to win and injuries have something to do with it but when you sign guys with injury histories like g.Harris, fultz and Isaac that is on the front office .

If we had Rob Hennigan as our GM then I'd say sure, but I don't see much dramatically wrong with how Weltham has been doing. Sure injuries have set us back a ton, but I'm not sure who gets the blame there and without those injuries, we wouldn't have Paolo so...

Well we’ve been a really bad team the past years. So im not surprised.

Not to mention, do we even have Magic insiders?

We are definitely bottom 10. Not sure why everyone is so defensive, the team is not good from the outside looking in.
