They owe their pick this year to the Pelicans (pick swap)

Landale will be a worse cut than Cristian Wood.

I'm still choosing to believe Ibaka will come good as a coping mechanism for losing White Donte. (don't have any tactic at the moment related to Whiter Donte)
I assumed that either Kidd would punt Wood within a week or Doncic would crack the **** with him never ever doing anything with a screen other than slipping it but Wood has been really good so far.
Jock is good though, yeah. I kinda forgot to reference him in my reply to your post about him.

He's pretty much what we'd love as a backup/possible Brook replacement. A Thon with a skull.

Was it 2020 we had Jock in the preseason? Brook, Robin, Ersan, Giannis and they still had hope for Wilson and Bender was looking promising and still had that shiny potential around him. Wrong time really trying to make a team with a bunch of names ahead of him on a contender.

2019 according to google. Yeah fair point about those in front. Thought if heard about him being involved with us more recently but probably just the compressions of time.

Lebron is fully in the Wizards MJ stage of his career and it's been amusing watching his media sycophants mental gymnastics the **** out of things trying to convince people otherwise.

I'm excited to get Darvin Ham back on the staff by the all star break. I figured we would have to at least wait one full season.

Re: Around the League
After watching a bunch of games this past week, it is really amazing how far AD and Ben Simmons have fallen.
Then you've got the decline of LeBron and Harden from field tilters to high calorie scorers.
Meanwhile John Hammond is thrilled his team is 0-5, while at the same time Banchero is averaging 24/7/3.

Re: Around the League
Every now and then I'll tune into some morning shows on ESPN. First Take being one of them. Good to see they'd still rather talk about losing teams like the Lakers and Nets instead of the teams that are actually winning.

Re: Around the League
Games of interest tonight:
Mavs at Nets - Both teams off to disappointing starts. Nets on a B2B. I'd hate to see them go to 1-4. NBATV.
Heat at Warriors - Heat looked good in Portland but now have a tough B2B. Warriors off to a disappointing 2-2 start. MBATV.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Around the League
The NBA is doing a lot of these teams back-to-backs where a team will travel to an conference opponent and play 2 straight at the same location. Miami has several of them this season, which makes sense given that Orlando is really the only team that's close to them even Atlanta is a 2 hour flight. But the Bucks have one next week with the Pistons. I don't think its a good or bad idea necessarily, but I was just curious what precipitated it.

Hambone gonna get that 20-62 and 3 year extension while lamenting that the 4th overall pick prevents him from getting a real difference maker.

I kind of like it. It adds a little bit of rivalry and reduces travel. Feel games get chippier when you have 2 in a row.

Personally, I'm rooting for their tank so Hammond can finally achieve self actualization by running out a lineup of Banchero/Isaac/Bol Bol/Bamba/Wembanyama.

Nets are the team I'm keeping an eye on joining the tankathon.
KD's old enough (and has had enough injuries) that waiting until the end of the season before trading him holds plenty of risk.
Brooklyn might need to trade Kyrie mid-season if they want either / both of those Lakers picks too.
