Nets vs Mavs---- NBA TV AND YES, 7:30 PM EDT GAME THREAD

Post#1 » by NetsWorld » Thu Oct 27, 2022 12:11 pm

Post your thoughts, predictions and hopes here...... If the Nets get this one tonight it, they would have went 2-2 against Tor, Memphis, Milwaukee and Dallas. All I can say is I hope the Nets get the victory tonight and build on it.

I want to see more Sumner and Yuta; those guys helped us against Milwaukee last night and were big reasons why we had a nice lead in the first half before we went yolo.

The fact that we got even worse when Nash got kicked out is gnawing at my brain right now.

This team is so f*cked.

Milwaukee and Memphis are both great teams.

Dallas isn't that good. At home we should beat them.

But this team seems to be collapsing before our very eyes instead.

1-4 after tonight.

The silver lining is that there will then be a maximum of 77 games left before Kyrie is gone, unless they get lucky and some foolish team gives them something decent at the deadline for him.

It's going to be a long season.

Kyrie has been the least of our concerns though to be honest. He's been playing hard and doing everything the team has asked...that's all I ask too.

He's also, like always, jacking up way too many long jumpers that aren't part of any kind of offensive system, playing crappy D and not delivering when it counts.

More importantly, the damage has been done. The team is thoroughly dysfunctional and dispirited.

This version of the Nets is over. Kyrie and Simmons are both going to be gone by the start of next season, possibly KD as well, and we'll see whether Marks can rebuild.

The Mav's destroyed the Grizzlies and a shot away from beating the Pelicans. Two teams that beat us.

The Mav's have Bertans, Ntiliika out and T Hardaway Jr as day too day.

Brian Lewis reported the other day that we might see Seth return tonight. If so probably a very limited amount of time.

We really need a decisive win against a decent team.

He jacking up those long shots because that’s the Nets offensive system , give ball to Kai or Durant and move away

There was a stretch last night with Yuta when ball was actually moving , as soon as went up we crawled back to Durant ISO , first 8 minutes 3rd quarter

Why are you surprised? Vaughn is a horrific coach. The defense he leads has been horrific. What's always gnawing at my brain is how long he's been employed here as a mentor to younger coaches.

Side note, we missing Bruce Brown more than i ever imagined, huge mistake on Marks side to never even sit down with him to check his price

Vaughn is worse than Nash or basically the same , yes 18 minutes was enough time to see what he is about

How much Patience or money does Tsai have ???

Dead last in season ticket sales

Second largest payroll in the league

Bad coaching and bad results

I can’t imagine that’s the way he build his financial empire in the first place

The more time passes the worse Marks' decision is to not fire Nash last season becomes. Had he fired Nash last season you give Vaughn time to prove his worth. We've seen that he isn't much better when Nash was out with COVID. Could have ended the season in the same disappointment and gone out and gotten a competent coach.

If Marks fires Nash now we're none the better because Vaughn will almost assuredly be tapped as interim coach. And we'll have another wasted year. Honestly if Marks does snap out of it and fires Nash we should also just blow the whole thing up. We're not winning anything with the group we have and the top two coaches on this staff. Might as well jump into rebuilding for the future too.

What’s the positives about Vaughn?

I’m curious
