Hield and Harden definitely would work... A high volume 3pt shooter that can slightly put the ball on the floor. Definitely a better fit than Tobias who is not a wing. Our offense is slow and lacks space. We need pace and space around harden and Embiid. We lack that. Also Maxey needs to be our 6th man. Jordan Poole and the boul from Miami thrive in that role.

Hield and Harden = two pieces of BBQ chicken defensively

Embiid either cannot or will not clean up bad guard defense.

Eastern contenders gotta be upset about this.

I like what the Bucks are doing. Well, actually what Bud has been doing. Where they are creating unconventional line-ups that takes advantage of the uniqueness of Giannis. For instance they had a Jrue-Tucker-Portis-Giannis-Brolo 5 man unit in the finals that gave suns hell by switching everything.

They had Portis playing SF in the preseason.

Raps, i believe, already have a roster to play this style. And we saw how tough it is to play against them. Now, imagine you have Giannis instead of Siakam. Yikes.

My annual "let's trade for Chuma Okeke" post.

The Magic are loaded at F and Okeke is not getting many minutes.

I know Tobi is playing well, but by the deadline he could be a plus asset. With how he is playing on both ends with a switch defensive scheme and with his efficient non ball dominant scoring plus his big expiring contract next year.

The question is.. let’s say he continue this performance, what can we get from him by the deadline?

I'm not confident in getting a buyer on Tobias. I think the best we could do is getting Westbrook and a future protected 1st from the Lakers. Hopefully we would just buyout Westbrook.

Tobi trade is a tricky one because the better he plays the easier it is to find a trade. But it also makes it harder to justify trading him because a committed 3&D Tobi is pretty valuable to our wingless roster.

Ultimately, we need wings which is the most valuable archetype in the league so the odds that we get a good one for Tobi is low.

Jaden McDaniels has been a defensive savant. He's got unrealized playmaking upside. His jumper needs work. Do ya'll think he has star upside or just really good player upside? Would you trade Maxey for McDaniels and a 1st?

That’s too speculative and risky for our position.

Im in the camp where we try Reed-Biid first before we go out and make trades.

Fwiw, Tucker would be a great fit for the Wolves.

Why?

The majority of the Sixers fans want Maxey relegated to a microwave 6th man role and to start Melton because Tyrese has been so limited defensively. The only real unique thing about Maxey is his work ethic. You can find 6'2" scorers pretty easily.

McDaniels is a 6'9" athlete with proven NBA defense. He showed in college that he could create for himself and others off the dribble (hasn't been asked to in Minnesota with all their scoring).

I know Kobble won't like it but:

Harrison Barnes
Terence Davis
Lamb

for Tobi

It's clear this experiment isn't working with Tobi as he's not C&S. Barnes fills that role better. Terence Davis is a a bulky SG who can fill in that SF slot. Both have 1 year left on their contract, so would relieve us of this contract early.

This is overthinking it. You're not getting an upgrade. Just moving off his contract to create flexibility is paramount, and not cap space flexibility but trade flexibility. Need to split Tobi into useable pieces that can be flipped again later. They will need someone to at least play most of the minutes at the 4, however, because Tucker needs to be limited to 20 MPG. And Niang preferably does not play at all. Crowder would be good for this role IMO.

Love it but Lamb is not currently under contract. I also think Sacto irrationally loves Barnes.

Who is gonna trade us multiple usable players for Tobias Harris tho? We don’t even have picks to trade to entice a tanking team to take him for their good players.

I think our only option is a bad contract for bad contract deal which is why I’m so obsessed with the idea of a Gordon Hayward trade.

McDermott and Richardson from SA would work for me.

Although I wonder if you could do a 3 way deal where the Bulls get Tobi and Thybulle, send DeRozan and Coby White to a 3rd team, and the 3rd team gives stuff to the Sixers.

Harrison Barnes is off to a terrible start this year. And Terence Davis minutes have dissolved after the first game to Davion Mitchell and Malik Monk. It's betting on them playing better with a veteran team and the optional cap space at years end.

Meanwhile, I feel like the Kings are trying to win now with their roster construction and Tobias add another veteran with a scoring skill set.

I actually think this trade would be more of interest to the Kings than Hayward would be for the Hornets due to Gordon actually playing pretty well.

CHI gets Harris and Thybulle
PHI gets White, Barnes, and Holmes
SAC gets DeRozan and Niang
