Yes from the minute he was slipping in our draft I was bugging teams to trade back in and even reached out to Remi who was set on picking a PG at the time but Bane was too good of value to pass up. Every year I tried to check in and offered big time draft capitol. Finally I knew what I had to do. Once I put Haliburton in discussions that opened up the lines. There was basically only a handful of players he would move Bane for and Haliburton was one.

With Jokic playmaking I guess I felt I didn't need Haliburtons playmaking as much and I am hoping the SIM respects Bane's defense a little more. Haliburton has been killing it though so for what we both needed it made sense...but moving Haliburton was tough I was just worried about the Curry/Haliburton defensive pairing. I got a break with the SIM making Curry really good defensively last year and I can't expect that again this year.

It is crazy that we are about to start year 6th of this. Not sure who would have predicted that! From BAT days where we drafted and really had no way to determine a winner (and we basically just had to do a bunch of them to scratch our itch). For Bish thinking about this idea and for us to get multiple years to then not sure how we could sustain losses of owners or the free agent reset year we have to tweak for Bish to manage. Over 50% of our league has turned over to new GM's (don't have the specific numbers just eyeballed it) and we have done it pretty seamlessly.

Just wanted to say I appreciate you all. Its been a really great ride and look forward how long we can take this. But its hands down the most fun I have had in any type of sports fantasy/simulation league. I turn on a random Memphis/Kings game because of this league. Love it.

As always shout out to the GOAT Bish!

Yeah, not gonna lie. Now I’m making time to check in on teams I previously had no reason to watch, just to track the performance and development of my players.

BaF has made me acquire a liking IRL to a new team: the New Orleans Pelicans! I love the way that roster is built and enjoy watching them play.

I know bish’s job promotion has placed higher demands on his time but hopefully we can find a way to leverage some of the workload so that it doesn’t impact his commitment to running the league long-term.

Anything we can do to help, bish please ask!

That is one of the best parts of BAF that I’ve been drawn to. Picking up some young players and then monitoring their progress you catch yourself following teams more closely that you normally wouldn’t and it helps open up your perspective about the league as a whole.

Look at Christian Wood, I remember when I signed him to $1 when he was an unknown GLeaguer trying to make an NBA roster and I watched him evolve into a 3.5 star SIM beast who earned his bag this free agency.

Now I’m over here waiting for JKidd to come to his senses and start Josh Green
