Maxey may have been the missing piece that we needed. Screw Klutch for poaching him as a young man. We may have just as well taken him knowing we were in the market for a new PG at the time

This was all part of the plan to be able to keep Lowry Jimmy and Bam all on the Heat as KD requested. Herro had to be extended, his outgoing salary is now $26M allowing us to keep all 3 of those guys in a deal for KD.

It all makes sense now

Wouldn't Herro's salary just count as this season's salary? His extension doesn't kick in till next year

Dude never was, never has been, and never will be a guy that you can count on offensively to get you a bucket. He will drive all the way to the hoop. See someone there and pass it back out to half court because he is afraid he'll get hacked. The guy is straight up basura

Magically, no, through time with hard work and encouragement probably, at least better than what he is currently early on in his comeback.

PER36 numbers for Ben Simmons NOW (5 games in).
44% FG%, 40% FT%, 7.9 ast, 7.2 reb, 6.5 pts, 94 ORTG, 119 DRTG.

Let's see if they're any better by the end of the season, I'm going to guess they will be, even Markelle Fultz has gotten better since leaving Philly after people said he was done. It takes time. It's these types of players that if you can buy low on can possibly pay huge dividends. Good lord Westbrook got traded multiple times as an asset in recent years.

I don't think hard work is part of his thing. Dude has major I'm happy to collect this paycheck vibes.

Herro gets the poison pill for this season cause of the extension, so his outgoing value for the Heat will be $5.7M while his incoming value for the receiving team will be ~$25-26M. It makes trades complicated when matching salaries but it's doable

No it’s a poison pill contract now, while he make 5.7M this season his outgoing salary will actually count for around $26M

Big middle finger to everyone who wanted to run it back without making trades and relying on internal growth. This is what you wanted.

Of course you clowns don't work for the front office. You did however, root for this **** sandwich to be prepared. You don't get to avoid taking a bite out of it.

Ok guys. You’ve all been here long enough to know you can’t be throwing around slurs. If I see it again I’ll be giving users a holiday from the boards as a warning.

This is a basketball forum. Leave the rest of that chit out of it.

I actually cautioned against the "one shot away so stay pat" theory, if you go back and read my posts from the summer. But I was always about the right move, not just any move.

There’s no way we’ll be bad enough for the Wembenyama sweepstakes.

At worst, we’ll be just like those Waiters/Whiteside/JJ teams who are fringe lotto. On the plus side, we did get Bam and Herro out of those picks previously. But I don’t think we’ll be a lotto team. Gotta sort our chit out quick or we may be a playin team though.

Hate is hate my dudes and dudettes. Let’s all use this platform to come together and stop with the division. Only thing I care about is if you are a Heat fan. If you aren’t gtfo. It’s hard enough being a Heat fan these days, we don’t need any more reason to upset eachother.

Bulls stole Derrick Rose from us with a 1% chance. Karma will reward us

Is KD even enough? This team would need KD, Crowder, and probably Westbrook.
