With Casey Fossum last night doing the patented Casey Fossum blow up (hang on, does it count as a blow up if he gets out of the third inning?), the bullpen had ro sutle up 5 and two thirds innings last night. They did.....well, for a change.
Cleveland's very own Gary Glover threw 2 and a third scoreless innings of fairly wild breaking balls. Juan Salas threw pretty wildly and was clearly favouring some injury, putting two men out but getting two out. Shawn Camp pitched well and got him out of it. Then Lugo sucked and gave up a run. But all in all, they gave up only 1.
That lowers the bullpen ERA somewhat to 5.40. Which is, um, yay?
Although it doesn't really help given that the team ERA is the majors worst, by a long way, at 7.20.
