Should have kicked a fg when we down 17. That td they took away from us was bs too.

Nah. They can go into next season with only a $15 million cap hit in '23 if he's traded. He gone.
I'd still bet he's back. Gute has been spineless.

Agreed on that. If there was a real, actual reason to fire Gute it would be his handling of Rodgers.

Call me crazy but I think we played decent on offense. The refs cheated us out of a touchdown and MLF went brain dead on that 4th and 1 call. Overall though, not too bad.
Defense.. no clue. Pretty awful for the most part until Allen started throwing the game away.

You're right but I doubt this kind of run game is sustainable.

Fair. And our season is likely over at this point but tonight's showing was better than I expected.Dennis Reynolds wrote:PintSizedBox10 wrote:Call me crazy but I think we played decent on offense. I still believe! Seriously though, nfc is awful so there's still a realistic chance.

Improved 2nd half performance by the run game notwithstanding, I'm not impressed with the future of this group. Buffalo had their defense on coast for most of Q3 and all of Q4.

Btw...we suck...that's a given.
The refs though.
On the Bills first td Diggs was moving the entire time and the defense wasn't set. Then they called Amari for a false start after he did the same thing. That PI on Tonyan was bogus.

So when Buffalo's offense does well our defense sucks. When they don't do well it's because they weren't really trying. Just "messing around". Not buying it. No QB, especially Allen, is going to throw 2 picks in a half because he didn't give a crap. The defense stepped up as much as some don't want to admit it and change the narrative. And no, it doesn't mean everything is great, the defense has turned the corner, we're SB contenders again. But it does mean the defense had a great second half. Why is that so hard to acknowledge?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Not a coincidence that the defense was much better with Quay out. I still think he has a bright future, but right now he’s clueless.

Agreed. He needs to play to get better. But he's slow at reading plays, slow in coverage.

Then the Bucks don't play with their food, right?
The defense had the chance to make a huge stop, down 10 with 6:30 left and all timeouts remaining. Instead the Bills were able to burn 4 minutes and all of the Packers timeouts, and effectively end the game.
Allen was missing completely wide open receivers to extend drives, or it would've been worse.

Yes the defense didn't record 3 and outs on every second half drive. Damn it.
And yes Allen was apparently taking it easy on us by missing wide open receivers and throwing 2 picks. Allen actually threw more passes in the second half than the first.
In Buffalo's first home game they got a 17 point lead and poured it on, winning by 34. In their second home game they got a 17 point lead and poured it on, winning by 35. But last night they got a 17 point lead and quit.
Could it of been worse? Well no **** lol. We can play the "would/could/should have" game all day. It's really really hard for some to admit the defense played pretty well in the second half. No, not perfect, but pretty well.

If the defense wasn't afraid to tackle in the first half, it might have been a nice, close game.

Can't believe there was only one post on this. Even on that last drive of the 3rd into the 4th where we got stopped on 4th and 1. Every play was Rodgers running the play clock to 5 or below and it's not like the clock was stopping because 9 of the 11 plays on the drive were runs. Took almost 7 minutes of game time. 25 seconds after the Amari completion on the last drive of the game only to immediately throw the ball out of bounds.
I'd be much more likely to take Rodgers criticism of everyone else seriously if he didn't do **** like that. Instead I just give him the wank motion.

Right. The game plan was to try to milk the clock and keep Buffalo off the field. Good idea. But late in the third and fourth with the defense playing well you have to go for it.

As a Bucks fan, sliding into that moral victory mindset feels right at home. Nice and cozy.

We'll have a lot of that the next few years probably But I'm not claiming any kind of moral victory, only that the defense played pretty well in the second half. Which they did. I fully expect Detroit to score plenty.
