Game 8: Pistons (2-5) @ Bucks (5-0) Oct. 31 8:00 PM EST
Third back-to-back in ten days. Crazy.
Bucks on a day's rest, as if they need another advantage.
Bucks laying 13.

I think we'll cover the spread, but take an L here in a hard fought loss.

the team will stay in milwuakee and play them again on wednesday too.
it'll be a big test both nights, the bucks have had by far the best defense in the league to start the season. pray for stewart not to get in foul trouble.

Hopefully the team at least gets Noel back.
Anyone know the timeline on Burks?

giannis should score at least 50pts on how bad our paint defense is and how undersize we are.

james edwards III said noel's been available in a "break glass in case of emergency" situation as he works back into game shape after his injury. my guess is we'll see him tonight.
and casey said burks and bagley are getting closer, so maybe 2 weeks? neither have progressed beyond 1v1 drills at the moment.

Still battling injury
Pistons coach Dwane Casey said Wednesday that Noel (foot/conditioning) has not made it through an entire practice yet, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact Noel has not played this season yet and isn't listed on the team's injury report. However, Casey did mention that Noel could play some minutes if needed but likely only in an emergency. So it doesn't appear that the 28-year-old center will return to the lineup in the next set of games.

Four days ago Noel still hadn't made it through an entire practice, and the "next couple of games" would have been the second game against the Hawks and last night. And realistically at this point (early) in THIS season (wins may not matter), what would actually constitute an "emergency"? Therefore I would say it's not terribly promising that he'll play tonight.
So...who gets to guard Giannis? If Noel doesn't play do you throw Duren out there and see how he fares?

I think it's unavoidable that Giannis is going to foul some guys out and score a ton.

It's always 5 o'clock somewhere.
I personally don't have any rules about drinking; it's always situationally dependent. Once years ago I went to Cedar Point with a buddy and his gf who was best friends with my gf (which is how I met him). We all met at his house in NW Detroit, the girls were doing the driving, and he greeted me at the door at 6:30 a.m. with a big tumbler of Jim Beam and Coke. I've been working from home since Covid broke (will probably never go back) and there have been some afternoons where there's no work to do (and given the nature of my job I can't "invent" work to do, so to speak), no meetings, I'm bored, and a beverage sounded good. So I beveraged.

I would not be surprised if we’re down 15 by the end of the first and 25 by half

This is a game to have fun with. Let Ivey run the point the entire time Cade is off the floor - things like that.
Pistons played extremely hard yesterday. Not easy to wake up and give 100% again, especially against the Bucks.

duren's already been ruled out with his ankle injury from yesterday. if noel doesn't play i can't even fathom who we run out at center when stewart isn't on the floor.

Yeah ive always been a solid drinker but i got to lay off a little soon. Been putting down a pint of Jack damn near every other day. Having some beers with a few shots mixed in is one thing but just drinking liquor straight all the time might be a quick exit.
But yeah alot of it is just boredom

I'm leaning the other way. Hammer time. (and the under, somehow). But we'll see.

We’re going to get mauled in this one. With Duren, maybe a 20% chance to be competitive. Without? Zero.
Ok, two percent. But it would require Giannis not showing up.

I hate to say it, but I agree. We're likely to get smoked. I'm not sure Duren being healthy or not would make any particular difference. The Bucks are just in a different class and the Greek Freak does not take nights off. He dominates.tmorgan wrote:We’re going to get mauled in this one. So what does it mean if we win?
