If anyone sees an update on Duren's injury, please let us know.
If Noel isn't ready to go we will REALLY suffer from Duren missing time. There will be next to no rim protection with Beef as the only big, and it would force more mins for someone like Kevin Knox which is not going to be pretty. Plus, Duren is our best lob threat at the moment (although he needs improvement here).
I feel this will be huge impact if Duren missed time and Noel still isn't ready.

Re: Duren Injured against Golden State
Noel has been off in the injury report and practicing for a while now. He'll be ready to go. Duren is listed as Day to Day. Bagley has begun 1-on-1 drills in practice and should be doing full scrimmages soon.

Just a side note...I can recall a lot more "oh crap, I'm trapped, just throw it up toward the rim because Duren is in the paint" lobs than a lob recognized as such by both players from the get go, i.e. intended and on target...which quite honestly I literally recall none. Not to say that it hasn't happened ever in the first six games, but certainly not at a frequency to be memorable. Point being I don't think it's as much Duren needing improvement handling lobs as the lobs needing improvement by being planned and on target.

I won't fully disagree here, it does seem Duren has got next to no "planned/recognized" lobs. Certainly not frequent.
But, I think if he was actually really polished as a lob threat, we would simply be seeing at least a couple of planned/recognized lobs a game from Cade, Ivey, or Killian. If they were confident enough in his ability to deliver, I think they would almost be forced to loft it up to him more often, or that Casey would even design/target specific lobs opportunities for him. I need to see more, but I still feel like it is a bit of both IMO - lack of designed lobs, and lack of polish being an effective lob threat at the NBA level.

I said we needed another center before the season started but no one listened to me.
Defence Wins Championships,we need to return to the Bad Boy era.

Because your idea was to have a DIFFERENT center playing along with four defensively average to weak to awful starters. Unless you're going to stick Rudy Gobert in the paint, this team needs more than one average defender in the front court.
