Udoka is by far the best coach we got have hired.

I don't think anyone else would have worked. Its pure luck that he had his situation in Boston and became available.

If Udoka can't make it work then no one will. But I'm very optimistic.

I was down on this team all season because of Nash. Thank God it was done quickly. Now we have a chance again.

Udoka will turn this team around. Lets go Nets.

Udoka as coach being acquired is the equivalent of Nets acquiring KD in FA or Harden in trade back in Jan 2021.

Exactly.

Coaching is **** important!!!!!

And it becomes 100x important when you have a bunch of drama queens who can't be leaders.

KD openly says he doesn't want to be a leader

Kyrie doesn't know HOW to be a leader

Simmons is a nut case

Nash was feckless!

We needed a strong coach from the start.

Udoka is exactly what we need.

Either he steers the ship. Or it goes so of course that the rebuild begins. Either options is far more preferable than seeing an idiot like Nash squander the immense talent we have on this team.

Per NetsDaily, you guys would know better than me if he knows stuff. As a coach though, Ime is really really excellent, no doubt, huge upgrade over Nash and that'll be apparently right away I'd imagine

I fully expect your team to start leaking everything very soon, if this is true.

We're about to see how petty the team is for sure

Seeing as I want to see Joe Tsai utterly humiliated, anything you guys leak about Ime will be appreciated by me.

Under Danny, we'd know literally everything Ime has done. Brad, I'm not sure.

It's just really really interesting to me that we let a coach leave for a division rival, one that we just beat in the playoffs. He's a great coach, so whatever bad PR comes from this I'm sure the Nets won't care, but here's my question: were the Nets the only team that wanted him? Philly could've fired Doc for him but passed

While Philly would have been the next most likely landing spot for him, I don't think they are in dire enough straits to be firing Doc just yet. And I really can't think of any other seriously underperforming teams that might want to change coaches besides the Nets and Philly. The Lakers just hired Ham and I wouldn't think they fire him this quickly.

While I think Udoka is a good coach, he did inherit a team of cohesive, previously well coached players and had the previous boy wonder coach in management. The Celtics were arguably one of the easiest coaching jobs to take over.

Udoka got the nets to play some very good team defense in the playoffs against the Celtics and bucks as the defensive coach.

I think D'Antoni would work too. He carried Nash in his first season.

Good point. Could Udoka be Lawrence Frank 2.0 ?

Bad call. Frank was an excellent coach, especially strategically, who replaced a terrible robotic coach.

This is objectively false. Celtics were a pretty big disappointment the year before last and got beat by us pretty badly.

Brad was tired of it and basically quit.

And they had a rough start to the season.

That job was very hard. He changed the entire culture and identity of the Celtics last year. Nobody had them winning the East.

I believe Ime Udoka will transform this team. Talent was never a question, and say whatever you want about KD and Kyrie, they both want to win. But they need a coach, a real coach, and I think they've both been humbled enough by that sweep last season to accept that.

I think yall are asking a lot out of Udoka. He had Tatum, Brown, and Smart. Durant, Irving, and Simmons are a complete joke compared to that group.

Knowing our luck the worse case scenario is going to happen. Ime might not be any better than Nash. If this was any other team Steve Nash looks like a competent coach and they win a championship already.

Ime is a top coach, Nash was the worst in the league. This can only make the team better.

Yeah but knowing our luck he might not look like a top coach with us.
