It's really interesting that after dumping one veteran backup PF, Hawks would be interested in bringing in another.

Is this a sign Hawks have concerns leaning so heavily on Jalen Johnson?

Ideally, this dude would be great next to a scoring center like Jokic, Embiid or KAT.

Did we even kick the tires on Paul Millsap?

ATL should absolutely try to keep all the main guys if trading for Crowder
Try to offer something built on that and see what PHX say

Jarret Culver is on a 2Way GLeague contract, not on a $6mil contract

I was surprised and I didn't have time to check it, but ESPN is clearly saying that he's on 2-Way contract (icon, and would be locked as standard contract can't be traded before the later of 3months/Dec 15th), but that his outgoing value is 6M in case of trade
I will search the reason for that amount because at this moment, I have no idea

It's incorrect. For some reason they still have his 4th year option listed, which was declined by the Wolves. He's on a 2way worth $508,000.00. He doesn't count against the NBA cap and can't be traded unless Hawks convert his 2way to a standard NBA minimum contract.

Yes, I see the bug now: they put to Culver the same amount than Okongwu
Let's edit the posts above as it makes no sense, I put another one that has no trade machine bug this time

I'm still not sure it would be a good idea to trade for him based his injuries history, but Turner tonight:
27pts / 10rbd / 5blk / 2ast / 2TO with +20 PlusMinus in a 127-117 win
including 3/4 at 3pts

Having one C able to shoot 3s could be the missing part of our offense, it would spread the floor and make Collins job even easier.
They could also use a big lineup of with Okongwu at C, Turner at PF, Collins at SF if needed Vs some matchups and still have only one player no shooting 3s on the floor.

Now, if we trade Capela for Turner (2 years younger) and that Turner signs elsewhere at the end of the season, it would not be so much great

Any chance Bogdanovic becomes available? He's still owed 40 mill over the next two years, is part of a logjam at guard, and he stays injured.

My guess is that he's the guy they're offering up to Phoenix for Crowder.

IMO, Hawks need Bogi's 3pt shooting and ball handling in the 2nd unit than they need Crowder.

I get that. He's just so unavailable though.

But he might be "so unavailable" because of ATL management too, it was known he had a problem in his knee, but instead of taking time, he was always rushed, like Hunter, to come back as soon as possible, which was in fact too much soon, and they injured again.
Bogi and Hunter gave their body for the 2020-21 season, they could easily stop their season sooner but ATL would not have reached the ECF.
Now that he got the right surgery, and a lot of time to come back, it's certainly not the time to think about trading him because he could easily come back better than he was previously

Don't forget that Bogi had one of the best Bet rating of this team, don't forget that, they were at their best with him on the floor.
You don't trade this kind of player without a good reason, and Crowder is certainly not one good enough at this moment

Thoughts on this trade package?

Image

Looks like Collins, DeAndre and Bogdan for A Davis and Tobias.

NOTE
: T Harris only has this season and next under contract. He could become a valuable expiring trade chip in a year.

There is a lot more moving parts. It has Simmons going to the Lakers as well as Lou Will.

It looks like an old picture, back to when Curry and Simmons were playing with PHI

Thoughts on making a move for Okoro? I'm thinking he's a low cost reclamation project, and defensive specialist able to guard 2s, 3s and 4s. He could be a useful weapon off the bench against Giannis, Butler, Siakam or Tatum in the playoffs.

Can a team ever have enough big, rangy defensive wings?

He's been bad in CLE, but alongside Trae we might get better use from him in a better system...

Should the Hawks get Carmelo Anthony to replace Gallinari's production?

I feel like the Hawks are missing an extra 3pt threat and I think Carmelo could step in for a few minutes and provide 40% from three like Galli use to.

I'll pass.
Doesn't Cam have a torn meniscus? Possible?
Also, IF Hawks are moving Collins it would be for a major upgrade.

Collins to Crowder is not an upgrade.
