I checked it out. It's with Theo Pinson, Cam's teammate and friend at UNC. Mostly them chopping it up about college but they do touch on the draft and his time with the Suns and last years Mavs series (Theo was on that Mavs team).
Cam comes across as you would expect; mature, chill, smart, likeable. Kind of guy who will be successful in whatever he decides to do after basketball.
Didn't realize both his parents were good college players. Cam grew up around hoops and has been a hoops junkie since he was a toddler.
He won an AAU national championship as an 8 year old.
He was a PG until he grew a foot in high school. Has been obsessive about shooting since he was little. Thinks the rapid growth and heavy training while not really knowing what he was doing cause some of his injury issues in college.
He has a photographic memory when it comes to games, can talk about situations, scores, who was on the floor of random college and high school games he's played in.
Draft stuff:
Said he basically made every shot in his workouts with New Orleans and Phoenix. Really liked the city after visiting phoenix. His agent was hearing a lot of interest from teams in the teens but everyone was keeping it on the down low. Laughed about all the 'F' grades and stuff saying he might not have even been a 1st rounder after the draft. Was like **** yall, give me a chance and I'll show you I belong.
Said he felt good going into game 7 against Dallas. Said they just didn't play well and Dallas was on point that game. Been brutal but something to learn from.
