I think the only others Ive been to have been Central Waters and Broken Bat (old location though). Im leaning towards checking out like Mobcraft, Indeed, and Wizard something which are all in Third/Fifth Ward area. I did see some farther south (enlightened, etc) and then a couple (City Lights, Third Space) near Menom Valley too. Mostly into something with a good vibe and variety of choices. Food isn’t necessary.

Eagle Park, 1840, and Supermoon are the best in the biz in MKE right now. Eagle Park is just about downtown but the other two are Bay View/Bay View adjacent.

Eagle Park is certainly the gold standard and has been since they opened. Mobcraft is good, (it's no longer Fifth Ward, it's Walkers Point) and it'd be really easy to grab a bite if you choose to do so. Zocalo is right down the street, and you've got a bunch of spots on 2nd that are rock solid. Indeed is a short walk away as well if you want to skip.

I'd throw in Central Waters on that list, their taproom has some exceptional stuff - if you're a barrel aged type of person. Explorium also opened up a spot on St Paul & Plankington, about a block from the public market that is in a cool little spot and they also have solid food.

FYI Lakefront and Good City aren't closed. MKE was bought by Eagle Park but the taproom on 9th was bought by someone else. Their Milwaukee Ale House though has closed. I like Black Husky and 1840.

Sorry, meant MKE closed all their affiliated locations but I typed like a moron, haha. Thanks for recommendations.

Im a big Central Waters guy. I go to their Amherst location often as we still have ties to central Wisconsin.

Thanks for the recommendations. Seems like Eagle Park and 1840 are musts. Im not super familiar with Bay View area so maybe can check that out for something different.

Zolcalo is like a permanent food truck place? Seems interesting. Walkers Point seems like it has some nice options. I remember going to Stackd, burger place a few years back in that area. And obviously MKE used to be over there. I do want to hit up Mobcraft if possible.

Sure is. They rotate their residents. Anytime Arepa is phenomenal and Mazorca has the best Al Pastor in town IMO. Either way, you've got options there, plenty of outdoor seating as its supposed to be nice, and a little bar if you feel like you wanna have a cocktail. Bocce ball and a bags set if you want to play a game.

Certainly not a Stack'D guy. If you want a burger, just go about 14 blocks west and hit up Oscar's on Pierce. Nothing on that menu is over like 9 bucks and it's great. Black Sheep is a cool spot. Morel is upper scale and pricier. Odd Duck is a few blocks down and one of the best places in the city. Fixture's Great Distillery is one of my favorite pizza's in Milwaukee even if I'm more of a purist and it's unorthodox. Camino has great barfare and you might run into Mamu. Cielito Lindo or Casa De Alberto if you want some mexican fare, further south and Taqueria El Toro absolutely slaps if you want to mix and match your meats in tacos in the traditional onion+cilantro combo. Movida is over there too.

My gf and I just moved to this part of town in August, and absolutely love it. Pretty comfortably my favorite part of the city and it's less heralded than a lot of it.

I have 2-4 available for Saturday Sect 102, Row 11 towards the corner. Face is $85 but expecting to take a blood bath. Rather sell them here. PM me if someone wants to make an insulting offer.

I always target section 104 or 108 when I go. $50 bucks right now for the nets. That's crazy cheap.

I'm probably out as a STH next year but may do the seat pass. $1200 for two seats for the year to tell my kid he went to every home game (he will be 3 and won't remember) Giannis played is an incredible deal even if we leave at half.

Yeah, I would find it interesting to see if it really effects sales or not. Consumers like to act high and mighty when changes occur but most of the times when push comes to shove they just go with what's available. I wonder what percentage was actually original Miller brands last year. Feels like more people drank the Corporate overlord Coors, a seltzer or some other part of the company. People will still buy Shock top instead of Blue Moon, Goose Island probably will replace all the Leine's, etc. I can't imagine people in Wisconsin going to a sporting event sober.

Now if they did $8 Busch Lights....

I had that often last year, but this year it has been working pretty well. I did have some issues last week trying to return some March games, Pacers and Spurs to be specific. I dont know if the team purposely blocked those out to return, or if was a system issue.

they dont allow you to return games after a certain point in the season. it's usually March 1st i think.

Ended up going with Explorium, 1840, and then Central Waters. Explorium was a really good lunch option. Good food/menu, nice vibe, and good beer selection. I would definitely go back there. I liked 1840 and was kind of a cool place. That area in Bay View seemed alright, never really been there before. We wanted to go to Supermoon but started to run short on time and needed to check into hotel. Central Waters was actually a little disappointing. Ive been here twice and just really prefer their Amherst location alot more. Bartenders were not super friendly, the vibe was really quiet, and just was slightly disappointing. It maybe didnt help we both picked their new releases and they were really bad. We had some Eagle Park beer and it was good but didnt get to the brewery. But was a fun day.

Struggling to sell or just not worth it? If some of my February-April games sell for reasonable prices but above STH rate I actually may not lose too bad. The schedule has some good matchups on paper. We shall see. I do feel like they been offering a few things they havent in the past like courtside for a few games and the offerings in the loyalty package were better albeit had to react fast. In hindsight wouldve been cool to pick suite seats for either a Bucks or MU game even if the options were non marquee games. I did get the 15% season discount at pro shop on Saturday by asking too. May have been lucky. Prices are insane though. I wanted a Ray Allen purple/green tank top and it was $90 lol.

I think they go hand in hand. Paid $90/ticket for my 2 last Saturday against the Hawks. Got offered to go with a friend in the suite. It a Saturday against a Playoff team we played in the ECF 2 years ago, Bucks are hot, and Giannis was playing. If I would've sold them on TM I wouldve got $50/ticket, so I gave them to my dad for free. On the opposite side, if I sell one game at a profit I will then have to pay taxes on it and can't really net it against the money I lost.

My seats are ok. I can regularly find better seats cheaper last minute on TM or somewhere else. Last night I got 2 ticket Row 2 upper deck for $25 total. I pay $3,600 for one seat lower behind the basket. My benefits were guaranteed giveaways, the STH event, and and fiserv framed photo I'm probably not going to hang up.....IDK maybe the value is $100 if I was asked how much cash I would pay for it? Just doesn't seem worth it on good days, and you are a Giannis injury away from those tickets becoming electronic paper weights.

All that is before getting into going to 40 games (versus say 10) because you have tickets where it may be more enjoyable at home with a six pack of beer that costs $12 and a blanket instead of a $13 michelob light and driving in the snow to a game.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
