Now we know why Wright never made any public statements. I thought it was weird at the time (posted it in the thread about this on our board).

Lawyer said she came to Wright back in Jan/21, he delayed meeting with her, then when he did, assured her an investigation and write up would be made (don't recall what he said happened with that, going by memory). Then HR was in play. Lawyer said she was told Pop was made aware in June/22 but lawyer and psychologist don't believe that to be true. They specified it was not RC or Pop they're making allegations about.

Yup, literally the first thing I thought too - Wright trying to protect his job since he was behind the Primo pick. Makes the most sense given the fact that RC made the statement when he hasnt been directly involved in Spurs stuff for awhile it seems (at least publicly), the fact that Wright has not made any kind of statement or been heard from at all, and the way Pop looked when they announced the waiving before the Bulls game makes me think he was just blindsided with the news shortly beforehand (he looked really, really angry). Guess time will tell but I really don't want to believe Pop knew about this, especially since Becky invited him into the Ace's lockeroom during their WNBA Finals. If the coaching staff was aware last year I just don't feel like things would have played out like this. I could be way off base though

Well in the press conference the lawyer said the psychologist was told Pop was told but the lawyer and psychologist don't believe this was true.

Tom Orsborn asked specifically whether the GM she went to was RC or Brian Wright and lawyer said Brian Wright.

There is no way Becky would have stayed quiet about this. Like no way. And I agree that Pop looked upset the day of the presser when we released Primo.

It's looking like Wright stupidly tried to delay, cover up, didn't re-sign her when her contract came up, just to make it go away. And along the way an incident in Nevada and Minny also occurred. Thanks a lot, Brian... thanks a **** lot.

We do have to wait from any statements from the Spurs...

I dont really see how GM Brian Wright survives this. We have yet to hear from the Spurs in response to this, but I thought it was curious at the time that we hadn't heard a word from Wright when RC made the release of Primo statement and then Pop had to face questions shortly after.

Really sick stuff . Between what happened with the Texans and now this, it really seems like way too many organizations are enabling this sort of behavior. I think the Spurs need to clean house. I firmly believe what Cauthen is alleging given what Primo said in the presser, but I will still wait to see how this plays out in court. Still, seems very bad.

If its just exposing himself to multiple women and nothing more i.e. making some touch him,touching them or even going farther like rape I would roll the dice and pick him up as he's only 19.

But first thing first is I would have him go seek help for his issues before seeing him on the court again.Again as long as its not anything more then this the Lakers have to look at bring him in as their talent and depth are horrible and he's a young player at 19 with a ton of upside.

I guess I won't jump to conclusions so soon on this. With that said, what trauma was Primo speaking about in the presser then? What would he be getting help to overcome? It sounded like he knew he did something wrong, but was taking steps to improve. This makes it sound like the allegations are completely false. Let's give Joshua his due process in court, but if the allegations are true, the Spurs need to clean house.

The Texans didn't enable it; I don't think they had an idea of what was going on. He got an NDA no questions asked from them and used their hotels because a team is going to do that for their star QB, but as soon as they found out about this, he didn't play for them again and they traded him to several desperate teams. I think this is more like the Mavs situation where Mark knew what was going on but ignored it

Damn, if Popovich is deemed culpable at this stage in his career/life, that sucks for him. He may have to resign if he knew and did nothing. The Chicago Blackhawks went through a similar scandal last year and everyone was ousted.
