TBH even though Maxey look incredible this season, the Sixers quite possibly have a ring if they make this trade in 2020-21, and they might still have a non-broken Simmons.

Instead they look like 2nd round fodder again, but at least they have Maxey.- concerned raptors fan

Lol from the raptors board. Do people actually believe Lowry makes that team that lost to the Hawks a sure-fire championship contender? Even if they beat the Hawks they lose next round to Nets or Bucks.

Last night the Raptors announcers were talking about how good Maxey's floating layup game is. Was it really that long ago when that was the only thing he could do to score? Wow !!! I applaud the young man for working so hard on his game.

The kid is a keeper. I know this isn't really the thread but it appears like Thybulle has completely fallen of the rotation.

Might be time to move on for a veteran 3D wing

Maxey is the typical sell high player, you know you won't do jack **** with him as your best or second best player, you just can't give a max to such player. He is nice to have as a role player but once you are forced to give these kind of players huge money you are ****.
To be clear, I obviously like what he brings to the table, but we need to put into context his future here, it can't be at a huge price.

For Sixers, getting past 2nd round is the equivalnt of winning a championship, the wall is looking insurmountable right now.

Maxey is shooting 7 3s per game at 47% clip, that´s crazy. The man was a non shooter in his rookie year, and now, is probably a top 5 shooter, with good volume. I dont think i have ever seen a evolution like this... Bum Simmons should learn from him :)
The thing he´s still missing, in my opinion, is shooting off the drible, more pullups 3s... I thought this year he would be shoooting more iso 3s, but the majority are still in catch and shoot situations. His next step is to be more of a iso guy, using more his dribble( so he isnt as dependant of his speed), but he will get there, no doubt.

It's basic economy 101: buy low, sell high.

Good rule of thumb that anyone who says “it’s basic economics” doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

All you have to do is buy low and sell high, Jailblazers. It's easy, like the stock market.

And you only need to know when it’s high and when it’s low. That simple

The Harden injury might do it. Or it might expose him as someone feasting on the gravity and passing Harden provides. We'll get to find out either way.

I don't buy that gravity argument. That's just something raptors fans tell each other to make them feel better about having precious. I'm sure it helps but at the end of the day you still have to execute on your opportunities, and Maxey has done that.

Happy 22nd birthday to Tyrese. Hopefully he has a big game tonight vs. the Knicks sans Harden.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
