Tasai what Kyrie Irving says we don't stand for and we are disappointed he chose to share a video full of antisemitic disinfo.

1D later...

Kyrie plays

3D later...

Hires Udoka

That is some great organizational values Tasai.

I thought the Rockets would be a fun team to follow, but they're unwatchable. They're 29th in assists and all their young guys jack up threes at bad percentages.

I'm predicting Jabari Smith gets traded before his rookie contract is up. He has bad vibes with that group. BTW, maybe Jabari's personality is why he slipped to pick #3. I thought he was clearly the best player, on paper.

I'm assuming the problem is KPJ until further notice. Nut jobs tend to poison the well. See: Nets, Brooklyn.

They remind me of those Darius Miles-Quentin Richardson-Maggette lead Clips squad.

Problem with the Rox.

Every young player playing for himself while they aren’t good enough to play for themselves.

Is KPJ making anyone better?
Is Jabari making anyone better?
Is Jalen Green making anyone better?

All i see are fancy dribbling, fancy passing and mamba mentality from all these guys.

Porter is a toxic dude and he definitely is still out to get his, but I do at least see a conscientious effort from him to make plays for others.

Green and Smith are out there NGAF:
Green: 167 FGA, 18 assists
Smith: 105 FGA, 7 assists

Yes they do.

If I were their GM, I would just sign the guy in the G-League with the most amount of assists while having the least amount of FGA.

Derrick Walton averaged 9.4 assists while taking just 11.8 FGA per game. Sign his ass. Bonus points because he's actually a good shooter, too.

even at his best I thought Jabari would be Rashard Lewis 2.0

thats a second contract type impact guy not a franchise guy....

Yep Rashard Lewis is kind of what Jabari Smith Jr is.

Fwiw Rubio should be highly sought after by a ton of contending teams. He’s one of a very few that can actually run a team without being paid like a star. And his shooting has improved, streaky yes but variance is good.

Clippers
Lakers
Celtics
Mavs
Us 10000%
Raptors

Now with Garland/Mitchell I think he’d be an excellent get for any of those teams.

This Kyrie situation is strange as ****.

Since making the tweet he has played two games. Now he is suspended? Why?

Well, we all knew via Hoop Math that Jabari offerred nothing by way of slashing and post offense.

https://hoop-math.com/Auburn2022.php

Just 15% of his FGA occurred at the rim.

I still think he's got a lot of upside as a three and D bomber. And if he ever commits to being a playmaker, he could do that too.

What exactly is Brooklyn’s end game here? He sits five games, still refuses to apologize, and then what? They’re like the parent of a kindergartner counting to five.

There’s not enough popcorn in the world for this **** :D

Just watched the Nugs-OKC game.

When Jokic gets the ball, his teammates dont look to space the floor for him. They rather try to cut and find opportunities for Jokic to pass the ball to them for easy baskets.

This also forces the defense to not be able to send help and just stick to their man.

I think he’s stiff. He does not possess that guard skillset that everyone needs to be a great scorer in the leavue. He’s upside should be between Andrew Wiggins and Jaren Jackson.

His game revolves around shooting over people, making little move that creates little separation and shooting over people and defense.

but who knows.. he’s still young and with all these development coaches and how easy is it to score (just add a pull up game off the 2 man game, turn around jumper when denied when trying to drive and a step back; see the Luke Doncic scoring package) he might end up like Paul George

‪This is the biggest problem in the game right now‬

‪Bigs has to show ability to score in order to get max money. So instead of screening properly, they’ll set a weak screen and force the ball handler to hand them the ball for an ISO‬

This is why, given an opportunity in the future, you need to get away from scoring bigs if you have a franchise player guard or wish to build around a franchise player guard.

Look at Vucevic. He made it to the allstar when Magic tries to run a Vuc centric offense. And when he plays with Derozan and Lavine, he’s just a pressure release valve. Some of their defensive struggles also stem to that with Vuc not playing hard on defense because he’s not getting fed with the ball

Every guard.

Pick and roll
- pull up
- drive
- stop and fade a way

Isolation
- step back jumper

That's not what's happening on that play.

The play was suppossed to be a PnR with Wiseman or Curry getting a drive to the rim. It doesn't make sense to set an ISO that way because Wiseman already had position for a post-up before the screen.

Curry is frustrated because the screen is abandoned before the guy guarding him can be delayed by it or before he can reject the screen and go right.
