That's very unKyrie for him to apologise. He knows he stuffed up big time.

Let's see how this turns out.

Maybe he appeals the suspension an with the apology gets reduced to 2-3 games. Who knows.

That's a nice little PR apology that someone else wrote for him,
but now I want to see him apologise in his next media session and to Adam Silver in the upcoming meeting.

Let him say the right words for real this time.

Let him feel, face to face, what it's like to have done something idiotic and hurtful towards others, and then to apologise directly.

Kyrie might be the biggest clown of all time. Just a disgusting and selfish dude.

On the basketball side - he waits until there's a full media storm, full on distraction for his teammates, until he's suspended for at least 5 games to properly respond. This was after he was given 10 chances to respond with the absolute bare minimum. He could've shut this down immediately. Now we're down a major player and our guys have to answer more questions about Kyrie while he sits at home watching Alex Jones rants.

Off the court - don't talk to me about good intentions and curiousity and how Kyrie is harmless. He had a whole community telling him why this was hurtful and dangerous. He didn't care at all. That's not what someone with good intentions does. Period.

His apology was fine. Of course it comes after controversy, massive division, more missed games, embarrassment and anger. This is also contract year Kyrie. Kyrie after seeing basically no one wanted him as a free agent except for the Lakers at a 85% discount. This is Kyrie on his best behavior. We all know more problems are coming.

His career as a Net is over, hopefully his career in the NBA as well. Unless you can somehow trade him for anything of value, you suspend him with no pay for the season.

This Kyrie suspension might be it for him. Either he ouright quit or the team gives up on him. Don't be surprised if KD asks for a trade anytime soon.

This is to be honest, the hardest time to be a Nets fan. Imo, worse than the 12-70 & Boston heist seasons.

I do hope that Jaylen offer is still on the table. If so then we take it and hire Ime. Why? I think it's what would make Brown stay and re-sign with the team. We cut our losses and compromise the PR nightmare in hiring Udoka...

Kyrie is facing a lot of pressure right now, and he has a big decision to make. Pressure doesn't come just from the NBA, but also his family I'm sure. They are surely very uncomfortable with all this and they don't want Kyrie to lose his job. His dad and step mom showed up to the meeting isntead of him. But at the end of the day, Kyrie is Kyrie. Even if he apologized, he will not change his beliefs, and he will be hurt by the fact that he was bullied. I doubt that this has been his last word on this matter.

Kyrie saw the writing on the wall and issued the apology.

Im not sure if hes done with the nets or not, but a desperate team like the lakers would take him in a nanosecond.

They will issue some statement about knowing who kyrie truly is as a person and say they believe in second chances. Lebron will vouch for him and theyd go about their merry way.

Can we finally mutually agree he’s an absolute narcistic nutcase? You can’t ignore all the evidence anymore. Boston fans were denying Cavs fans, Brooklyn fans were denying Boston fans.

Now it’s about time Kyrie just gets help to cope with his issues cause he keeps on digging himself and your franchise into deeper holes.

We reached this moment with Kyrie a year ago when he refused to get vaccinated. None of this is surprising.

Kyire might be done with the Nets but he will play for them again. If they trade him they will be trading him for pennies on the dollar, and if you bring back lesser talent then you just make the situation with KD even worse. The Nets somewhere, somehow still believe that with KD and Kyire they have a chance to come out of the east, and they may not be wrong. Keep the team together for the season and in the off season figure it out.

My thoughts exactly, those words aren't of his, definitely someone wrote that for him. Based on how he speaks and previously tweets etc... yea definitely someone else behind that post(perhaps with his approval).

With that said, its finally done, but unfortunate delays on his end will have this continue. Hopefully we all can be done with this in a few days and be rid of this crap.

If I were the organization, I may seriously tempt to offer any and all reporters a hefty sum to please do not ask Kyrie anymore about this? I can see Kyrie undoing it all over again lol...

It's a corporate apology, but that's good enough. This is a corporation after all, and all you have to do is follow the guidlines or atleast not break them. Kyrie found that the hard way. I think this will end soon because the league doesn't want this to drag out either.

Problem with Kyrie is that he is too transparent. If any one of us say what we think all the time in our daily lives, we are going to have constant battles with everybody around us. When you have someone acting like that in a corporate environment with the world watching, in a team sport, it represents destructive behaviour within that structure.

That will be the end of the franchise. No one actually wants to play for the Nets. They want to play with KI. That is the crux of the problem.

The next rebuild will take 7+ years.

he's done as a net and probably in the NBA unless Lebron pushes hard enough for him. I'm hoping the only reason he came out with the apology after the suspension was because his agent told him he'd get traded to LAL if he did it.

at this point bring on the firesale. the Rockets look putrid and we can be right there with them to hopefully get Marks his first top 5-10 pick.

Philly is going to be without Harden for who knows how long and who knows how long Embiid will be able to handle the kind of minutes he's already playing.

Get a ton of picks for KD and a few good young players and let that be that.

Hopefully also move Curry before the deadline for a first if he comes back strong. Who knows maybe O'neale too.

Try to rehab Warren and Simmons into something and if you get good offers move them as well.

I'd keep Marks because this time he'd be starting the rebuild with a lot more assets than last time and I dont trust Tsai at all. And if they are convinced Ime is clean enough to rehire, they'd be starting with a really good coach.
