Maine Celtic takes lessons from Hall of Fame uncle

He's also the nephew of former NBA great Dikembe Mutombo, who recently underwent treatment for a brain tumor.

Kabengele says Mutombo is in good spirits, and he has learned quite a bit from his hall of fame uncle.

"Actually, listening to what he says and consistently doing it is kind of why I've been having a little bit of success so far, so he's been teaching me a lot make sure I get my sleep in, make sure I have a routine, because once I have that consistency outside of basketball, my basketball will be consistent, so he's been really great," Kabengele said.

They should try to not schedule Maine games where we're playing at the same time as the Boston team.

It's opening night for Maine and it's gonna be a poor turnout because celtics fans will be watching the Boston team play..

Some truly headscratching turnovers from Davison at times but hopefully that's just first game jitters. He stayed pretty active with 4 offensive boards, 1 steal and 1 block. Also liked the 2-3 from three point land (one of the make was from a couple feet behind the line). Kabengele was the star of the show though. Just a beast in the paint on both sides.
