Sometimes it’s fun.

Also why the hell am I still a mod, I “retired” over a year ago lol.

Sorry man lol, I have no idea what up with that. I thought they were going to finally work it out a couple months ago.

What many people don't understand is that advice given by doctors are opinions. Very educated opinions, but the situation isn't black or white. A doctor may be right about how something looks, but the condition can end up looking like a different result down the line. That's why getting a second opinion isn't considered an over the top thing for a patient to seek.

I've had a procedure done that I thought would improve my breathing. I had two doctors come to the same conclusion. Turns out, it only marginally improved it and I was recommended another more invasive procedure. Medicine is complicated

Chris Haynes on NBA TV said the Celtics feel they have the personnel to weather the storm without Rob and they will make sure they give him as much time as necessary to recover because once the get him back they want him at 100% and good for the future. Won't bring him back to 90% or anything less than fully recovered.

Read on Twitter

I just checked a calendar. 8-12 weeks from 9/22 would mean he comes back sometime between November 17 - December 15.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Hell I’d be fine bringing him back in early February lol. This team can win regular season games without him, we can’t win a title without him.

Mazzulla said it best the other day. RW3 being out is only going to make the Celtics deeper when he comes back. This gives guys like Vonleh, Griffin, Favors  time to get up to speed and in a groove to what the Celtics are doing before RW3 gets back.

My only worry on Timelord coming back so late is he seemed to be a step slow to everything last year when he came back. I’m sure some was injury still lingering but some had to be being out so long just getting your timing back. If he’s out even longer now and it’s a whole new season with new personnel it could be longer on that timing.

Back on court, dunking
November 5, 2022
Williams (knee) has gotten back on the court over the past couple of weeks and has even resumed dunking, Jay King of The Athletic reports.

I'm tired of both Shams and Woj, man. They are in some kind of personal competition to out-scoop each other and it's leading to them both talking out of their asses more and more. More about their own egos than actual news at this point.

This is spot on. I personally don't care that either one of them "breaks" something 38 seconds earlier than the other one. It is so meaningless and they care more about being first, than being right

someone posted in the GDT that losing our top defense (last year) to what we have now "isn't all on Losing RW."

My thought - Certainly "not all" but I really do think most of it. Having a Bigtime Rim protector does erase a ton of bad defensive plays. RW also rebounds well and it leads to many easy baskets for us in transition. Our team would overhelp less and therefor can stick better on the shooters. Get less caught up in rotations etc.. Having RW also allows Al to not have to be the team's Center and he can provide better off center skills that I thin k Al excels in.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

From the latest Jay King article on the Athletic;

“ Though their offense has been sharp so far, the Celtics must be dreaming about how dangerous they will be once Robert Williams returns. He said he has been “stepping it up” in workouts after returning to on-court work a couple of weeks ago. Williams said he is dunking again, feels good and has not experienced any setbacks. During workouts, he said he can do “really anything” physically.

“They just try to hold me (back from) being a little too explosive sometimes, take my time with it,” Williams said. “But pick-and-rolls, running the court, really doing a lot.”

In one sign of how far he has progressed, Williams joined the Celtics on their road trip instead of staying back in Boston. ”
