Yeah there's definitely something up with Mr Edwards. Just a few things this season...

Yikes that Edwards play was a real bad look.

IIRC I had him like 3rd in his draft class and have felt stupid about it until 2 weeks ago. Fortunately, deep reservoir of things to feel stupid about.

Orlando should thank Mike Malone for humbling Bol, he needed that. I just wish we had been the team to benefit from it. Bol would be amazing in our culture and development system.

As good as the Cavs are going right now, I wonder if this accelerated timeframe is hurting Mobley's development.

What is the extension MIN can offer Edwards now that they can't max him?

I predict at least one core player for the Wolves requests a trade by the end of the year. Team looks like a powder keg.

I think with Boogie no longer in the league (for now) OG might be my favorite (non Giannis) player. Dude is fun. :lift:

Weird.

That seems awful, I would be so concerned if I was a Wolves fan. They really **** the franchise by going all in for Gobert, sad.

Don't think Gobert is the problem when your two franchise guys are already loafing around and looking disinterested 10-games into the season. I guess it's always been a challenge with KAT getting him motivated, but I really didn't expect this with Edwards so early in his career. He's the future of that franchise, so if he's already acting like a diva over how the offense is run, then that's really concerning. KAT is the guy who needs to be saved from Minnesota. I just wish we had the assets to go get him....

If you ever wanted an excuse to watch about seven straight hours of NBA, tonight's a good reason to do so.

He's such a great fit with Giannis on paper, but the more I watch him the more I think he's just a loser and teams including us are better off resisting the temptation.

The skills are tantalizing, but his attitude and his defense are pathetic.

Somebody here probably posted about it on the day of the trade, but it just occurred to me yesterday that Mr. Touch-All-the-Microphones might not be a natural philosophical fit with the guy who lost many loves ones to Covid. I have to wonder how Towns would think about the organization who'd pry up the floorboards for a natural enemy.

The more I think about it, the more I think Washington makes a lot of sense as a KD destination. You know that he's very conscious and sensitive over the whole "bus-rider" stuff. He'd have the whole homecoming angle while still being the unquestioned best player in a big(ish) market like DC. Wizards have all their picks and the assets to go get him without breaking up the Beal/KP duo. Probably something like Barton/Kuzma/Avdija/Johnny Davis and some future firsts for KD and Watanabe.

Yea that's the question with him but in his defense he's never really been on a good team/environment. By all accounts, he seems to be a good person with a good attitude. Probably doesn't have the personality of a leader to be trying to be 'the man' on a team like he is now. But who knows if you get him next to and around a personality like Giannis that it could unlock everything for him. Or, of course he could just not quite be quick enough to ever be good on D.

In theory you couldn't' pick a better big to pair Giannis with so you'd have to kick the tires on it. But my gut would be to not have two max contracts invested in bigs in today's NBA. Just seems too clunky and need the money in Gs. I'd rather focus on whatever young wing/G comes available in the next few years. Someone like Ant, but I'd have my sights set on SGA
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I think he can still get 5 years starting at 30% of the cap, provided he makes an All-NBA team, wins DPOY, or wins MVP. I don't see it as particularly likely he reaches any of those milestones, although it's certainly possible.

As a guard, he'll be competing for All-NBA spots with:

Curry
Booker
Luka
Ja
Trae
Harden
Murray
Dame
Haliburton
Jrue
Mitchell
Garland
Beal
Bane
Shai
Simons
Maxey

Steep, steep uphill climb to place top 6 there imo, as talented as he is.
