Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Harris and Tucker will get destroyed in a playoff series by any scoring F. That's not going to cut it. Our roster has no defensive check for a big scoring wing (especially since Doc won't play Reed at F).
Thybulle is great at deflections, but he can only defend Gs because he's not big or strong enough. And he's literal trash offensively. He's a huge liability and will make Harden and Embiid have to deal with triple teams in the playoffs.
Prince is a big athletic wing that can compete physically with these guys. And on the offensive end, he's a proven good shooter.

We dead either way.
A scoring F would try to score over Prince. If scoring F can’t score against him, he’d run the two man game and force Maxey to switch unto him.
Once we double the scoring F, we are too short to rotate back to the opponent and close out on their shooters who have more length and are challenged athletically than our players
If you want to solve our defense, you need to run a double big line-up like what the Cavs is doing. Where you have a couple of guy who can close out very well and delay the rotation to buy time for our short defenders to be able to recover.
And since we dont want to start Reed at F, which ive given up to this point, im just hoping someone like Thybulle or Melton who’s got elite speed and deflections can provide the same closeout effect like a 6’9”-7’ lengthy big
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
I think the key to playoff success is allowing Embiid and Harden to get as many single coverage matchups as possible. A career 37% three point shooter like Prince does that for you. You can't abandon him and double team like you can with Thybulle. And even if Prince isn't generating the deflections that Thybulle is, he's at least big, athletic, and strong enough to make the scorers work for their buckets.

Even if you have Prince, they’d still double embiid.
Why?
Because once we bring down the ball, run the PnR, do the entry pass to Biid at ISO there is only 10secs or below in the shot clock.
Teams would double and force us to kick it to shooters. Where their defenders are long can close out EASILY to our short shooters.
Against top teams we are basically battling
Our short shooters attacking closeouts from long defenders
Vs
Their long shooters attacking closeouts from our short defenders
This is why despite the lack of talent, Raps can stay with us and feel like they are as good. Siakam dont collapse the defense as good as Embiid, but Raps defenders can close our better than our defenders. So in the end, a team like theirs can get as good as the looks we can get.
Whats worse is they can even finish around the rim and grab ORebs.
Guys like Achiuwa or Boucher shouldn’t be scoring 20-30 pts against us.
Then on single coverage..
Embiid should be able to score over Scottie Barnes
Harden should be able to score over Achiuwa
Thats on offense.
Defensively, Prince’s length is not enough to compensate the lack of length the rest of our team has.
You got a better chance with Thybulle or Melton, roaming around and creating chaos to provide help defense.
Ideally, you need Reed and Biid to roam around and playing like Boucher and Siakam or Mobley and Jarett Allen on defense..
But…
I dont even think people in this board, other than us, understands this

Also Glenn won't play Reed unless he absolutely has to. And even then it's very reluctantly.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
It's too hard to play 4 on 5 on offense in the playoffs. Which is what we've been doing whenever Thybulle has been on the court in the postseason. He's a negative value asset in the playoffs. And my point is that he has no value against teams with scoring Fs because he's too small to guard those guys. He's only useful against scoring Gs. And since we have Melton (who actually has offensive value as well), there's no need for Matisse.
Instead, we should be looking to get a big athletic wing that can shoot. I think Prince can fit that archetype for us. He's a bigger, better version of the Danuel House concept.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
If Maxey is offered in a KD trade package, will there be any better centerpiece available for Brooklyn? I think Barnes and Ingram will be off the table. Brown? Wiseman? Ayton or Bridges?
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:
Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Thybulle
Korkmaz
Springer
For
Bamba
Houstan (i dont know who this guy is)
Bamba is a buy low candidate. He can shoot and protect the rim.
Springer and Thybulle are also better fit for the Magic who has a lot of bigs

Isaac Okoro
Neto
For
PJ Tucker
Tucker is a perfect fit with the Cavs as their SF with Mobley and Allen
We stash Okoro
It does not look good now but it will look like a robbery 2-3 years from now

Tucker is a good fit with Stewart or Duren.
If Doc isn’t comfortable with Reed, then just play Noel with Biid.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
A lot of teams are trying to play big, Tucker would be a good trade chip to trade them to.
Tucker at the 3 or 5 is a more valuable asset than Tucker at the 4. Find teams who can play Tucker at the 3 or 5.

I didn't know trading Tucker was on the table. Is it on the table? Yes, please, do that.

Cap relief

Tucker plays the Jae Crowder role
Sixers much better when they are now forced to play without Tucker. Then possibly be better when Cam Johnson returns

I regret posting this for it might have lead to calling crowderman from the grave

Bamba's shooting didn't translate over from last year to this year, so far. Which is why Bol Bol has essentially moved into that spot in the rotation over him.
I like the idea of the trade because Bamba is a guy that would dramatically improve the rebounding and shotblocking on the team. But if he isn't shooting well, he can't/won't play next to Embiid (just like Reed).
