RS 22/23 - Mavs vs Nets (Nov 7, 8:30PM EST)

Post#1 » by Dirk » Sat Nov 5, 2022 2:15 pm

The Mavs have had a habit of losing games against teams missing some of their best players... so it'd be cool to win this.

The Wizards were blown out by the Nets and they said: "It's embarrassing," Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. said. "I thought it started with our approach. Our approach was lackluster. I think we thought we could ease our way into a game where we felt they didn't have a complete complement, roster-wise."

It's 9:45 for some reason, what a weird timing for central team playing eastern team.

Easy W, Mavs start to rolling and Luka is the real MVP of the season.

Wood 30+15 in 10minutes or maybe 9:30.

Heh.. Green finally cracked the 20 min mark, let's see if Wood can also climb to 27 mins! Small steps

Interesting... Mavs have one of the best benches in entire NBA

It means nothing, just because our starting line up is not that good, espcially Bullock+DFS+McGee offensively. Otherwise, we will be having the best record right now.

I already said in offseason if Mavs starting 5 holds, they'll be one of the best teams in the league because bench will be very strong... But they are very up and down because starting lineup is out of sync so far. DFS and Bullock are underperforming and McGee is total **** and even though Dinwiddie has nice numbers, he's one of the worst +/- & NETrtg guys on the team.

Green, Wood, Powell are carrying bench while THJ is still trying to find his shooting form. But THJ and Maxi also often play with Luka, so that boosts their +/- a bit.

It's more or less evident in the eye test and when you go and check their multiple mixed lineups NETrtg and +/-.

Mavs nedd a change. Dinwiddie to come off bench, 1 more scorer in starting lineup. Would have loved hardy getting the chance

Agree... But not on Hardy, not right now.

We need an upgrade at SG/SF and the TDL is the best opportunity for us. I will not trade any FRP because i prefer to have all of them available for a superstar this summer.

I think about Hayward if Charlotte will fall and tanking this season. Expires + SRPs would be good.

Meh, hayward is way too unreliable and I would prefer Hardy tbh. Dont feel like we should be able to win it all this year, better not make the brunson mistake and actually give talented players the chance to develop. Dont think sg is an issue, think its more 3 4 5 that is more important, or a 3rd pg unless frank comes back like a new person. For Hardy it feels like brunson. Pretty much everyone can see thr talent, but have to sit because of the burkes, courtney lees, bareas, basicly any vet min guard just because of age. Mavs need to look into the future and then we cant just hope guys develop from trainings, u need games since atleast 50% of the game is psychological

I don't think we are a contender too... But after a WCF (and having the best player in the league) everybody are expecting the Finals...

Finals can happen, but dobt think it depends on hayward or hardy. Mainly luck and a good streak.

Bench is playing very well. Good to see THJ and Maxi hit their shots.

Instead of doubling Durant, they put Kleber single coverage, defense improved.

This is the way they should be playing. Let KD get his 40+ if he has to.

That possession with the Watanabe banked 3 was some of the best D we played, just an unlucky result.
